I have not had much to post to flickr lately except photos of some models I've built which I posted strictly for the purpose of hosting the images for posting on forums and stuff.
... But, the next Red Flag at Nellis AFB starts on Monday so that's all about to change.

The old Great Eastern Railway Trowse Swing Bridge over the River Wensum, in summer 1975, complete with red warning flag..
This bridge was replaced in 1986 by a single-track swing bridge, which included a 25kV A/C overhead power supply, using a suspended bar, rather than wires..
My wife and I liked Red Flag 21-1 so much we decided to check out 21-2. We knew it was going to be smaller so we only stayed for one full day. What we didn't count one was the nasty weather. Blah grey sky, very windy, and cold for the morning takeoffs. Takeoffs were to the SW so we joined up with a bunch of other spotters to watch the planes leave on Cheyenne Avenue. When the fighters take off on the 21R they bank right above your head so you get a mix of belly and side profiles - but it is a cool experience. Tankers and bombers tend to use 21L so you have a better angle but if there were no clouds you would be shooting into the sun. Despite this we had a good time. After the morning rush headed out we moved to the Speedway area for the recovery. All in all a very good day, even if we were turning blue and felt sandblasted.

Small Hindu shrine in a forest on an ancient trail high above the Auli ski resort near Joshimath (India)
There was many brass bells and red flags around the shrine. It must be quite old, on an ancient stone-paved trail going to some high pastures near the ridge of the mountain.

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- A F-18 assigned to the 77th Fighter Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force prepares to taxi out for a training mission at Red Flag 10-3 Feb. 23, 2010. Red Flag is a realistic combat training exercise involving the air forces of the United States and its allies. The exercise is conducted on the 15,000-square-mile Nevada Test and Training Range, north of Las Vegas.

I was really looking forward to getting good shots of Prowlers on this trip but it just wasn't in the cards. They either landed left or broke really tight, like right over gate 1 if they landed right. That said, this CAG-bird had some type of problem that required the pilot to engage the arresting cable on 21L, giving us the opportunity to get shots with the hook down. Glad they were able to land safely.
April 2006 , we found the last point in north bulgaria , the last house before serbia , before the end of the old eastern block.The family which live there comes from the black sea , extrem point of bulgaria when we looked at east.
In this place peolple from all the CCCP world were passing there while they escaped to west.
Many ghost still living here..........
