At the end of the 19th century the newly-built Bahnhofsviertel had resplendent boulevards like the Taunusstraße. Nowadays, it's a multicultural red-light district with occasional efforts of gentrification due to the proximity to Frankfurt's banking quarter.
At the end of the road parts of Frankfurt's main station can be seen.

they yell, they shout is what i hear all the road way.
should i stop by to see the sight or hear the sound of pleasure

Known by locals as De Walletjets ("Small Walls") because of the series of low brick walls containing its canals.
End of the street Nieuwebrugsteeg with Sint Olofssteeg.
It was one of the wealthiest areas of Amsterdam and deserved the nickname of velvet canal.
