Taken on our pacific northwest adventure. There was an ocean of tulips. Sadly, it started to rain and we had to go. However, I did get some great shots before the downpour.

Outside of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home, Kentuck Knob (shots of that coming), there is this impressive art piece of what looks like 1,000 red people. They're about shoulder-high, and there are just rows and rows of them. It's really a sight, I can't imagine the effort it must have been to paint all of these. Pretty surreal. Oh, and the house is gorgeous too.

Homs, Al-Ghuta neighborhood. Local people help Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers unload food parcels from a truck into a warehouse.
A four-trucks Syrian Arab Red Crescent and ICRC convoy, the second in four days, has carried 2,000 food parcels (complementary food for 12,000 people) and 2,000 blankets to Homs for the inhabitants of the city affected by violence.
The assistance was, at first, stock in a donated warehouse in Al-Ghuta neighborhood, where the main Syrian Arab Red crescent office is located in Homs.
On the same day, Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers began distributing the assistance to Homs inhabitants through four distribution points, later expanded to nine points in various areas of the city.

Red-faced Cormorants have a very limited world distribution, being confined to southern Alaska, the Aleutian and Commander Islands. They wander south in winter but are generally scarce. The limited geographic range and their habit of diving for fish makes the population vulnerable to oil spills. Despite their name, they are characterised by having a large orange bare face. The closely related Pelagic Cormorant has a truly red face in breeding plumage, but the face patch is much smaller on Pelagic. This group were photographed on Medny Island, one of the Commander Islands.
We will have 12th aniversary tomorrow. I am finally getting healthier but my husband got really sick on Sep. 30th. His both eyes got swollen suddenly... We went to 7 doctors in last 10 days but we still do not know the cause and treatment for it yet. Meanwhile, a doctor found out that he has a huge goiter. Two doctors wanted to cut his neck and remove the goiter immediately without biopsy or anything. Two doctors wanted him to go to a endocrinologist and have some tests. So we went to endocrinologist this morning. He had an ultra-sound test today. We are expecting to get the results end of this week. We still do not know if the goiter was the cause of his eye swelling...
I am so sorry that I was playing and messing up with her hair. So I have to wash her hair again. Now she does not look so 'hollywood' anymore. But she's still a natural beauty =]
