Liked the poem on the yellow bin. Hope you do too.....
The other thing that surprises me a little is that there are signs all the way along the sea front saying NO BBQ’s……🙀🙀🙀.
Thanks for visiting.
“I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure that I have periled life and reputation and reason. It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories, from a sense of insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom.”
~Edgar Allan Poe~

Somehow this goes well with yesterday's shot of a tractor pile. This is one of the entrances to our local arena, site of many a hockey game, curling bonspiel, and indoor rodeo.
I liked this when I shot it and still like it 20 months later - but there has never seemed to be a "right" time to post it. Until now.

Lovely afternoon weather here in East Tennessee! Pulled out the Sigma 19mm to capture the wispy clouds moving overhead. Also got some shots of the violets blooming and our Miss Rosie enjoying the great weather outside!

New recycling bins down at the bottom car park. They should think about putting some in the car park over the road from us. It would make life a lot easier.

Someone had put this mop head in the recycling side of a waste bin in London. I did get some odd looks when I was taking this photo.
Recycling bins are often to be found in the car-parks of large supermarkets in the U.K. here in Newark, the three household bins we have are for general waste, allowable recyclable items like cardboard and plastic and one for compostable garden waste. Other material has to be dropped off at the large council recycling depots or at the banks of bins around the town, similar to these.
You can see that separate containers here in the Waitrose car park are there for clothes and shoes as well as clear, brown or green glass.
I think we gave in to temptation here on our first visit to Edinburgh in 2001. Jeffrey Street near Waverley Station.
