An exploration of memory, nostalgia, and the textures of nature.
This piece blends painting with found objects, layered fabrics, and textured elements to recreate the feeling of a crisp autumn fishing day by the lake. The warmth of fading foliage meets the quiet shimmer of water — and somewhere in between, a story unfolds.

This scupture (and the one below) are made from used wood which qualifies them as Trash Art. I purchased these two at a silent auction at the Swedish,Club in Seattle many years ago. The artist's name is Miller and that's all i know.

THE GREEN TRUCK
Switches, bitches pushing buttons, mutton’s dressed as lamb along with the framework of a pram.
A sham, a clam, a shamrock—a real rock, verdant structures like leaves deceives the eye.
One wonders why the door’s concealed there?
Green plastic, elastic globules of PVA medium attire brushes with transparent blobs so it bobs up and down when pushed by the hand of a child wearing a frown.
Drown in implication, the imprecation decipherable among symbolic elements, transistors and tiny batteries; scatter knees as you kneel to examine a vehicle that’s missing some wheels!
It feels deals are done behind your mind, you can’t find the words to explain it—there’s something elusive in the effusive that you must needs remind yourself about, which is a bind.
Its’ juxtaposed fluorescent towers’ silhouettes empowers some, others it plants seeds inside, then it germinates and flowers.

This piece is surprisingly comfortable to wear. Its quite springy, being made of springs and rubber and all. By the time I got around to making this piece, craft-guilt had set in from making some of the simpler initial Office Wear pieces. I needed to impose myself on the materials - to DOMINATE them! It was me or the office supplies, and I was determined to win.
My wife was somewhat amused by this.

and here is Hyacinth, finally ready to have her photo taken. it took me a long time because i was holding out, hoping to find material to make her black and white striped leggings with, but none was to be found. i had a hard time getting the color to come out right with my camera, so there are a few different color variations of her. these have nice soft colors and her hair looks good, but i don't like the pinkish tone of her dress.

and then there's Hester :) my fourth doll, and the beginning of a new phase of dolls. she's my first openly-goth doll (hehe) and she's very fancy. she actually is not 100% recycled *gasp* but i found this amazing red silk and i just had to have it! especially since, being a doll maker, i only needed a foot, which greatly reduced the price :) i love her little top hat and her dreadlocks, she's quite lovely

Bicycle wheels and old plastic bottles are among the recycled items on decoration at a coffee shop in Hanoi, Vietnam. Discarded wheels, wheel parts and plastic items have been turned into interior decorations at a Hanoi shop.
95% of the decorative items on display in the coffee shop are recycled items. Bicycle wheels and old plastic bottles are key decorative items. All recycled items have been hand-made. Each item is handmade from discarded wheels, plastic bits, bottles and other upcycled rubbish.
There’s an old Vespa converted into a dining table and a series of smaller tables made of used car tires. On the walls, bicycle wheels and tire plates give the café a shabby-chic vibe.
Every piece of decor has a whimsical, artistic vibe. The café is definitely a cool find you’d want to run and tell your friends about.
Foreign tourists are surprised at seeing lights made from plastic bottles. The shop has a total of four floors. Many discarded plastic bottles have been used to decorate the ceiling, creating an eye-catching look. 1,000 plastic bottles containing coloured powder and water makes for an eye-catching spectacle.
The mural paintings on the wall leave a good impression on customers.
Nguyen Tho, the shop owner, said using the recycled items aims to raise people’s awareness of environmental protection.
