For this Image I free floating image of Hillary Swank and Gerald Butler and behind them I put one of the letters he wrote to her. On this letter I changed the text font, free transformed it by rotating and put a rectangle box around it to make it look like the back round of the letter. To the backround I went to layer styles and used colored pencil. Then for the title I used layer blending options with drop shadow and outter glow.

This was out of a senior portrait series I just photographed. I wanted to test out some ideas for winter. Post processing done with the snowflakes and color.

This design was entered into the Spoonflower weekly challenge for the theme of abstract minimalism. Minimal colors make this pattern an optical solid when viewed from afar. The modern design is there to give interest to the eye, yet remain subdued. The layered rectangle/box outlines are shades of the muted ecru hue of the background, purposely making this minimalist pattern clean and limited.

This shoot was for headshots. I prefer to step back and crop in (vs step forward and not need a crop) for many reasons. First, it allows me multiple crop dimensions. Second, I have a higher chance of hitting focus. And thirdly, editing skin and hair is much easier. My reasoning for that is my own. Whether it's right or wrong it works.

This Brooch started out by creating a super skinny rectangle box that I thought I was going to run Perpendicular. I changed to Horizontal when I decided I wanted to cage in some Fresh Water Pearl and let them run free in the Brooch. This Brooch is made from Sterling Silver, oxidized with Fresh Water Pearls. It measures just over 3 1/2 inches long.

FRONT VIEW COVER

CD case was copied and pasted.

Left side of the cd Case I used the magic wand tool to erase the white and used the paint bucket tool and colored it black. Then I used text, then rasterized it so it could be free transformed to vertical on the side. I also added a few blending modes on the text as well.

Cover photo was copied and pasted. The black borders were made with the rectangle tool, with a drop shadow blending mode added, then was duplicated and free transformed > rotated vertical for the sides.

The Brand New logo was made with text with a drop shadow blending mode on it, as well was free transformed > rotated a little to match with the photo of the trees in the background. The box behind the logo was created with the rounded rectangle tool, with a drop shadow blending mode, and the box was also merged with the Brand New text, so it could be rotated evenly. The rectangle box opacity as also decreased so you could see the trees in the background.

Speaking from tree level was made with text, also the bevevl and emboss blending mode was used. Box behind was used with rectangular tool as well with a drop shadow blending mode. The rectangle box opacity was also decreased.

Here's the same pitaya that is now frost damaged. It came to me via ebay in a long, rectangle box.

It is my turn to bring lunch for people at work. So I decided to usge the long rectangle boxes because they fit in my insulated carrier nicely.

2 sisters named huda & hana came to pick up 2 boxes of cupcakes from me. im sure if you've noticed, both names are being mentioned quite often in my blog, FP and even in my flickr. and yes, both huda & hana is actually my daughters' name

it was kinda exciting to see 2 sets of "huda & hana" (of different age range of course) in my house yesterday :-)

*if u r curious, that weird looking rectangle box on the cuppies are supposed to be a white board. hana said it look like a tv

*LOL*

Certificate of Authencity. The black squarish is my name in case any of you were wondering what that black rectangle box was. It came with two extra sets of hands, default wig, and a booklet containing other bjd dolls.

March 27, two days after I planted.

From left: Bougainvillea (planted summer 2009), two Heirloom tomato plants with wire cages, bell pepper, jalapeno, the rectangle box has cilantro and red Fresno chilies.

The sample on the right is a quick moc up of what this wall would look like painted a darker color. Sorry to snuff out Fluffy..lol).

Consider painting the shelves and wall above the FP a darker color. Leaving the FP brick the same color and painting the brass black. By painting the shelves, inside the shelves and above the mantel one color it downplays all the rectangle boxes in this small rectangular room. It also makes it seem that your sofas fit better in the room.

Don't be afraid to paint. It's not that big of a deal to repaint if you have to. Go to store get lots of samples cards and put them up on the wall. Observe the samples for 24 hours so you can see what it does in all kinds of light. Home Depot sells little sample bottles of paint for like $3 mixed to whatever color you want so you can take it home and try it on the wall in a big square. That way you don't buy a whole gallon and decide after a day an night of seeing it in different light that you don't like it.

Beef up the mantel part above the FP with a mock mantel by adding a thicker piece of wood. Paint it or stain it a dark color.

Then maybe you could add mirrors with candles on the wall above the mantel like this: (these actually are cut out scroll work but I didn't want to take the time to take out the tan part where I copied the picture. The green would actually show through)

www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Iron-Scrolled-Votive-3-piec...

Watch the size of things you put on the mantel. For example the artwork you have up there now is too large. Try to avoid rectangular frames as it will make this FP area look all that much more rectangularly. Use different shapes. And scale them to fit within the space without being so large they go from ceiling to mantel. You can use vertical rectangles just not horizontal ones.

The rug in the picture is there to show how an area rug will warm up the space. It's not necessarily the print I would choose, etc. It was a quick one for me to insert in the photo.

I'm thinking maybe a round coffee table would be good for this space so it doesn't end up looking so boxy. You could even put a round area rug.

Give me time, and I'd choose my garden to find many of

God's beautiful wonders. These are pink and white peonies, with

purple Dames Rockets. My fond memories of childhood was

when my parents picked the peonies to take to the cemetary. My father made a chicken wire structure like a rectangle box to place

over the headstone. They covered the whole thing in white peonies

and spelled out Dad in the red peonies. It was beautiful, I wish

I had a photo of that, but I guess I do in my mind.

Capturing this image field at 40x's magnification in 2014 was confusing; I really had no idea what these images represented yet I knew these images meant something. Eight years I had no way to figure out these micro images because I had just not seen enough images. As time has passed, these curious figural images appear to formulate a clearer structure.

* The white background appears to represent "Deep Space", perhaps the white clouds of our Milky Way Galaxy, or like the clouds we believe exist in the heavens of the Universe? I notice that the background isn't black like we think of "Deep Space", and this ancient culture must think of our universe or galaxy as this whitened light-filled quartz base filled with celestial entities like these two figures; the blueish figure on the left and the Amphora-shaped ochre figure on the right side of this image field; most likely representing the celestial light and life throughout the universe. The outer shape of this faint ochre figure on the right is not just a Greek Amphora Silhouette Shape, but also a two-sided silhouette bust figure that mirrors the Greek God Janus including the reverse triangular base.

*The blue luminescent figure on the left must represent our spinning galaxy with the different arms represented by the black lines radiating underneath the outstretched arms of the figure; "The rotating arms of our galaxy"? The bluish region seems representing the arms of this figure appears to be a separate region paired with the celestial white region surrounded by the celestial arch. This figure is not that different from the celestial rearing lion symbol that is often associated with royalty.

*The white light surrounded within the crescent arch between the celestial head of the figure and the outstretched arms must refer to a specific region of our galaxy we still do not understand. Like any country or continent; a body of land is usually sectioned off into states, countries, counties, or regions because of the cultural differences existing from region to region for the purpose of protecting its citizens. The crescent arch that we see in this diagram may represent the celestial lights that we see in our night sky indicating the circulating and rotating living entity of our galaxy as a singular unit, the central core celestial system of "One".

*Inside the base of this bluish celestial luminescent figure; this celestial figure is divided into groups or figural symbols: A celestial white figure, a bluish figure between the white and the black figure. The celestial black figure appearing to represent a two-sided Amphora-like figural symbol with a reverse triangular or "U-shaped" base. This symbol appears to be divided into regions that may actually be divided into 12 final groups or regions of our galaxy completed by the rectangular base-figure of brownish/reddish ochre. The brownish ochre rectangle almost mirrors what explained in some cultures of people as the Ark of the Covenant containing the mysteries of life within the universe.

* The white and black figures at the base of this figure stand out more than others, perhaps two figures confronting each other as they stand above the rectangular ochre box.

* This ancient culture clearly must have been well aware of the concept of good verses evil as shown in the two figures of celestial white and black confronting each other as a battle within our galaxy, light verses dark, life verses death over the contents of this rectangular celestial ochre box?

*Inside the head of the blue luminescent figure is a curious luminescent figure in the shape of a violin, cello, or base violin. I have found this figure in one other place on this site; the inner spiral on the navigation stone. Perhaps this figure represents the center of our galaxy that everything rotates around???

*The ochre figure on the right is not just Amphora shaped, but it also has two faces on opposite sides of the figure similar to the two faces of the Greek God Janus with the reverse triangle at the base. Janus being the Greek God serving as the gateway or door between the celestial heavens and Earth.

Eight years ago it was impossible to analyze this group of images, however today the images are clearer.

These symbols at 40x's magnification could mean absolutely nothing, and be just an accident of nature. However the more images we find like this on this site; the more we begin to see clear patterns of a very advanced ancient culture that once existed on this ancient mound site; and perhaps being responsible for building this mound???

Yesterday I made paper/fabric painted Christmas ornaments (see Mixed Media Christmas Ornament set for the process and finished trees). Last night I made this journal page which has paper collage, water color paint over the paper, gold gouache for the border around the watercolor, gold gel pen for the rectangle box and label, and Zig Millenium pen for the writing.

Facebook- Layout

The layout of facebook (app via smartphone) is not very spacious, this is a problem towards some people with some disabilities. The text size on the app is too small in addition to this the pictures and video boxes are also decrased in size as well.

Facebook uses lots of square and rectangle boxes for there layout. This is good because it keeps the structure simple and clean for the pubic, But in the bottom row the layout has chanced into circles.

The good side to this is that all the options have been more simple to access instead of scroling towards the top or

bottom of the screen.

Facebook- Colour

Like the logo Facebook uses a blue and white to there interface, this is a small simple feature which everyone instantly knows.

Facebook like to brand there website by using the same two colours.

Facebook has also changed the colour background to a darkish grey when looking into settings or chatting for a friend. This is a good thing because it makes the pictures and the Sans Serif font stand out, making it easy for the public to see.

Facebook- Typeface Choice

Facebook has chosen Sans Serif as there font. The reason for this is because that it stands out from all the other text.

The Titles of the text is a lot more bigger and bolder than the body text this is so because it catches the public eye a lot more.

This photo was taken in Ship Street Oxford.

Here is my bouncing ball animation- www.youtube.com/watch ?v=AZDqq0520f8 This is a Play blast of my boucing ball aniamtion from another angle.

Here you have a the basic movement in the

Y axis of the bouncing balls motion.

To create this you need to space the key

frames evenly with the timing of your animation.

NOTE: You do not have to punch in every key

frame one by one you can apply the lower key frames

and simply apply the higher key frames after.

Once you have places the key frames down.

If you look at the top left there are two blank rectangle

box's side by side, when you select a key frame;

in the box on the left you will see what point on the

timeline your key frame is set at and on the left you'll

see what coordinates it is set at, you can change those

setting at any time and would not have to key select again.

Once you have placed all your key frames correctly

(however you think works for you) you can now edit

the curves by using the tangent handles.

But first we are going to get the 'V' shape for the impact of the bounce.

you do this by simply selecting the key frame and

selecting the 'linear tangent'. Once you have given the ball

impact you need to edit the curves and you do this by using tangents handles.

The easiest way to select the tangents is to just left click drag

over them and only them. Once you select the tangents you need

to brake them by either right clicking or going to 'Key'

at the top left of the view port. Once you have done that you have

to select 'brake tangents' this will allow you to have control of one tangent handle.

You can also stretch the tangents by selecting

the tangent handle>right clicking>curve>weighted tangents

and then selecting the 'Free tangent weight symbol' which is at the top of the view port.

Thanks! ^_^
