PANORAMA CITY - On December 20, 2018 the Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcomed LAFD Recruit Training Academy Class 2018-1 to our Fire Department family.
After 21 grueling weeks of academy training, the recruits participated in a well attended graduation ceremony followed by a dramatic demonstration of their newly acquired skills including a live fire burn.
These graduates now enter LAFD neighborhood fire stations to serve a year-long period of assessment as probationary firefighters alongside tenured members of the Department, as they hone their skills to a level necessary to serve as career members of our agency.

After several months of basic training for the newest group of firefighters to join the Spokane Valley Fire Department, their last day before reporting to their new assignments was on the drill grounds, advancing hose-lines into the tower and fighting fires on the second and third floors. The temperature was building into the mid 80’s outside, but it wasn’t slowing them down. In addition the firefighters were able to practice their forcible entry techniques, pump operations, and search/rescue procedures. They were always willing to reload the equipment and practice it again.
Their Training Officer, Captain Mark Hill, feels that they are ready for the next year of being a probationary firefighter at this Department. Thank you, Captain Mark Hill, for your time, commitment and dedication that you have shown this latest group of firefighters. And congratulations to the class of 2014-1 on a job well done.

A Maryland Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk crew took Baltimore Ravens leaders and 98 Rock DJ, Amelia, on a local area orientation between the Ravens' training facility and M&T Bank Stadium Dec. 11. The Dec. 16 game against the Denver Broncos is sponsored by the Maryland Army National Guard and will feature a variety of Guard-oriented activities including a mass reenlistment on the field before the game.
HLG Motorsport are currently recruiting, for those wondering who we are we are a small racing team that are taken part in TORA, as we speak we are taking part in the TCC, we currently have 3 drivers/members, Daniel Handover Ian Dalton and of course me. We are currently looking for people who can, tune, paint and race. Now this does not mean we are looking for the best painters and tuners or even the fastest drivers/racers, on the racer side of things we are looking for people who can race cleanly and help give us a good name, if you are interested please PM either me on xbox, gamertag: xQSx Crazyz, and let me know you are interested and what aspect of the team you are interested in.
Side note we may ask for something to show us your skills basically a test just to make sure you are what we are looking for.
for example:
Racers: we may want to bring you into a lobby to see how you drive ect.
Painters: we may ask to see some of your work just to see what you can do (yet again we are not looking for anything amazing)
Tuners: we may ask for a specific tune just to see what you can do (yet again this is more to see what you can do you don't have to be the best).
