Taken at Dartmouth Regatta (festival) where the Royal Airforce was on a recruiting campaign. The tent behind was the nerve centre for advertising for the Royal Air Force and the two air force staff were doing all they could to the impressionable talented young minds to recruit the next generation of the sky guardians for the United Kingdom
My heartfelt thanks to the RAF lady staff who upon seeing me trying for a picture, gave this beautiful smile and pose.

Last week 99 new recruits were attested as police constables.
We have been spending some time with some of our new officers and are sharing their stories.
Hassan Hussain has climbed up the ranks after starting his career at GMP as an apprentice, five years ago.
The 27-year old who has also been a Special Constable for three years previously worked as an Operational Support Officer in the Child Protection Unit at GMP’s Salford Division.
He said: “Working in the child protection unit you are made aware of so very harrowing stories and it made me realise that I want to join the front line and do something to make a difference.
“I’m now looking forward to carving a career for myself and finding my feet as an officer.”
He will be joining officers on Salford Borough.

Last week saw 99 new officers attested into the role of police constable at a formal ceremony with the Chief Constable.
We have been meeting some of our latest recruits and will be introducing them to you.
Piotr Dzienis came to the UK seven years ago and started his life in the country working in factories.
The 31-year old now wants to be able to bridge the gap between the Polish community and police.
He said: “I met a police officer who inspired me into joining the job. I want to be able to show my community that there is a positive side to the police. I also want to use my knowledge of my culture and community to help me in my role.”
Piotr will be based in Rochdale Borough.

The San Antonio Recruiting Battalion debuted the Family Information & Fun Fair at its Annual Training Conference Dec. 8 at the El Tropicano Hotel. The event’s mission was to provide spouses with information and resources from 14 military and community organizations. Free toys and books were provided to battalion children through the Joint Base San Antonio School Liaison Office. The battalion thanks the following organizations for their support:

A Maryland Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk crew took Baltimore Ravens leaders and 98 Rock DJ, Amelia, on a local area orientation between the Ravens' training facility and M&T Bank Stadium Dec. 11. The Dec. 16 game against the Denver Broncos is sponsored by the Maryland Army National Guard and will feature a variety of Guard-oriented activities including a mass reenlistment on the field before the game.
