PORTUGAL - In recognition of International Condom Day (ICD) – an informal annual celebration of safer sex held on February 13 in conjunction with Valentine’s Day, AHF hosted or supported condom distribution and awareness-raising activities on every continent, spreading safer sex messages in nearly 30 countries around the world. The events are being hosted under the theme “Love is the Best Protection,” meaning that one’s love for themselves and their partners is motivation for safer sex.

On Monday, May 15, 2023, the City of Laredo and Mayor, Dr. Victor D. Trevino proclaimed the week of May 15 – 19 as Public Service Recognition Week in Laredo. For the first time, during the same event, the City Manager’s Office and the Human Resources Department recognized 53 employees that have served in the City of Laredo continuously for more than 30 years.
