1502 NATHAN5 FISH (Samuel4, John3, Alice2, John1), farmer, youngest son of (1360) Samuel and Sarah Fish, was b. at Stonington or Groton, Conn., about 1699, and bapt. Aug. 19. He m. about 1726, at Fisher's Island, N. Y., Abigail Havens, who d. Sept. 16, 1727, at the age of 22; m.(2), about 1729, Mary Burrows, dau. of John and Lydia Burrows. She d.May 11, 1732, and he d. July 13, 1732. They all lie buried in the Packer Burying Ground at Groton. Although his life was short he receiveda fair share of the honor and respect of his fellows. He and his wifeMary united "by faith" Apr. 15, 1731, with the First Presbyterian (later Congregational) Church at Groton, which was organized in 1702. There are those FFF shoots that I am just impatient to be done with so I can start drinking the spoils of the week. This is one of them. Hence the twiddling of the thumbs.

Normally I do not like brews aged in liquor barrels, the liquor tends to be too dominate, overpowering the ale. However the Oak aged Imperial Stout from Left Hand Brewing Company turned out to be one big exception. They blend the stout aged in Heaven Hill brandy barrels w/ stout from their brewery barrels. This is a 25%/75% ratio. Then the stout bottle conditions to produce one of the best tasting beers I’ve had to date.

Keep a look out for it, this is Left Hand’s 1st release since 2007, and who knows when they plan to bring it back next.
