Ben has used this Reynolds DV tubular wheel for some time and based on
the miss-matched spokes it was one of the generation which was
notorious for breaking spokes. Wanting to go to an 11 speed groupset
raised some issues as the Hadley hub used on this wheel is not
compatible.
We rebuilt the wheel with a 20 hole White Industries T11 hub and new
DT Swiss spokes. Not only will this mean Ben can run an 11 speed
cassette but it will also be the end of his broken spokes.
Everything was circular here. And the diamond shapes signified how important the owner of the hut was (if my spanish is worth anything; I may have got that entirely wrong, mind you).

On our way back from the western suburbs, we stopped in Oak Park (well still a suburb, but at least on an El line). I had never been, so we stopped at Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio and walked around until we were thoroughly frozen (not long) and headed back to Chicago.

Rebuilt in 1870, this is one of the last-remaining churches from the Gold Rush. It's in bad shape, but they're looking to rennovate it.
Thank you Edward for your time and allowing me access to all the sheds, especially the new carriage shed. What a fabulous addition to the Downparrick Railway.

CXS rebuilt ES40DC #5235 was originally built as an ES44DC by EMD in August 2005 for CSXT and given its current number. Sometime later she was rebuilt and converted to an ES40DC, retaining the same number. CSX C40-8W #7740 is a General Electric unit originally built for CSXT in November 1991 and given its current number.

The tubular frame was derusted, painted with a rust encapsulator, and then painted with a chassis paint.

This cabin is located near Pilot Knob, TN at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. Here is the text of the marker at the right.
The logs for this cabin were taken from a barn owned by Mr. James Sykes of Eva. The barn was used by scouts for General Nathan Bedford Forrest during a reconnaissance of the Pilot Knob area on November 4, 1864. The lower story of the Syke's home located near where the Eva VFD now stands, was used as a temporary headquarters by General Forrest.
