Please do not adjust your screens. If you think that you have seen images like this released on the internet in 2010 then you are correct. If you can see some startling alterations then you are further correct. Links below will guide you to the initial photographic and written output. If any other reasoning than time travel erupts to explain away these pictures then please dismiss it. Just recently Andrew and I took a trip to Featherstone Castle and recreated some of the poses from 2010. We used projected images to fix the positions but without patience, poise and balance our efforts would have failed in comparison to the success we have to show you here.

These photographs were taken using two studio flash units. One was reflected on a silver brolly and the other was reflected on and through a translucent white brolly. The two light sources were set to gently overpower the ambient room lighting and to generate a crisp but warm light. I hope that the rich tones come through and help to show Andrew Macpherson’s finery in a fitting a light? These poses were set to the most amusing banter and I am pleased if the joy of taking these pictures comes through to you in the images presented here.

How Can Math Lessons Nurture Kids’ Logical and Intellectual Capabilities?

For children to grow up learning how to express and communicate effectively, they must learn and experience how to deliver their thoughts clearly, think critically, and satisfy their curiosity as they develop as a person.

Integrating these in education such as math lessons—already a generally challenging subject—through activities that stimulate the mind will increase their abilities and shape their character especially when supported by their loving parents.

Here are a few straightforward and effective ways math lessons can boost your child's cognitive and critical thinking skills:

1. Encourage your child to answer problems on their own

Give leeway for intellectual freedom by stepping back so they could analyze and figure out multiple solutions to solve challenges by themselves. This will practice logical thinking abilities so they can grow to be assertive and quick problem solvers.

2. Motivate them to think outside the box and be creative

Ask leading questions starting with: “what if” or “how about.” Not only will this build their empathy by

imagining themselves in other people’s shoes and situations but also gain foresight—to think of multiple possible outcomes from one scenario.

3. Gamify their math exercises

Try to look for creative mind puzzles or visual game exercises and play them together! If done continuously, their minds can get used to critical thinking—a skill crucial for children to grow with better situational awareness and analysis of cause and effect.

4. Keep your child physically active

Get them moving! Even stretching, casually dancing to music, or a simple exercise routine after class will contribute to a positive mental state. Getting physically active will also induce body chemicals that trigger an optimistic and energizing outlook on life.

5. Make learning comfortable and unintimidating

Create a positive learning experience under a stress-free environment so they could focus on learning effectively without tension or misguided expectations. This is a practice Izumi’s teachers emulate— patiently guiding and motivating students to perform their best and excel.

Madam Humaira Hashmi ( Director Operations NCHD Sindh ) provided detailed presentation about NCHD Programs i.e. UPE, Literacy, BBSYDP Projects and also about MALALA and OWN School initiatives. It also includes the detailed briefing of NCHD’s national and provincial achievements. The achievements and efforts were widely appreciated by the Participants.

Dr. Iqbal Muhammad Choudry Director HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry Karachi University highlighted the importance of education and appreciated the role of NCHD in bridging the gap between strategy formulation and strategy execution to enhance Literacy rate and Universal Primary Education (UPE) with a view to fulfilling Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). He further ensured his volunteer support in teachers’ training and development for the provision of intellectual volunteers for the training of teachers all across the board. He further said that socio-economic development of Brazil, South Korea and Malaysia is largely attributed to effective education systems. In addition to that he urged government to increase budget allocation for the education sector.

Anees Ur Rehman Chairman Fund Raising Committee Rotery Club explained the role of private sector for enhancement of education. He said that Rotery club is already working for improvements in education. He affirmed his support to NCHD and also ensured that they would also undertake filed visits in collaboration with NCHD aiming at enhancement of School initiatives.

Pervaiz Lodhie Member PHDF provided detailed information regarding background of PHDF its working style and the current role. He also explained the collaboration of PHDF with NCHD & Govt of Pakistan. He also conducted interactive session with the participants about the models of UPE and Literacy. He also discussed about the use of technology to improve the education and teacher’s training.

All DGMs shared the achievements of their respective districts in the UPE and Literacy and also provided feedback to further improve the execution of strategies at the district level.

Prevez Lodhi sb appreciated the work, efforts and achievement of NCHD and focused on proper showcasing of NCHD work to share with the national and international donor community to attract them to support education through NCHD. He suggested all DGMs of NCHD to share success story reports & documentaries of schools/ literacy centers on social groups.

He further shared that his meeting with Baligh ur Rehman (Minister for Professional Education and Technical Training) has been fixed in which he will discuss about NCHD.

Through what toilsome eternities of gradual development he has come to be what he is, to what round in the long ladder of his progress he has now attained, what possibilities of further progress the veil of the future conceals from us, these are questions to which few can be indifferent -- questions which have been occurring all through the ages to everyone who has thought at all.

4. In the Western world the answers given have been many and various. There has been much dogmatic assertion, based on differing interpretations of alleged revelation; there have been many ingenious speculations, the fruit in some cases of close meta-physical reasoning. But dogmatism meets us with a story which is on the face of it manifestly impossible, while speculation moves chiefly along entirely mater-ialistic lines, and endeavors to arrive at a satisfactory result by ignoring half of the phenomena for which we have to account. Neither dogmatism nor speculation approaches the problem from a practical point of view, as a matter which can be studied and investigated like any other science.

5. Theosophy comes forward with a theory based upon entirely different foundations. While in no way depre-ciating the knowledge to be gained either by study of the ancient scriptures or by philosophical reasoning, it nevertheless regards the constitution and the evolution of man as matters, not of speculation, but of simple investigation. When so examined, they prove to be parts of a magnificent scheme, coherent and readily comprehensible - a scheme which, while it agrees with and explains much of the old religious teaching, is yet in no way dependent on it, since it can be verified at every step by the use of the inner faculties which, though as yet latent in the majority of mankind, have already been brought into working order by a number among our students.

For the past history of man, this theory depends not only upon the concurrent testimony of the tradition of the earlier religions, but upon the examination of a definite record - a record which can be seen and con-sulted by anyone who possesses the degree of clair-voyance requisite to appreciate the vibrations of the finely subdivided matter upon which it is impressed. For its knowledge as to the future which awaits humanity, it depends, first, upon logical deduction from the character of the progress already made; second, on direct information supplied by men who have already reached those conditions which for most of us still constitute a more or less remote future; and third, on the comparison which anyone who has the privilege of seeing them may make between highly evolved men at various levels. We can imagine that a child who did not otherwise know the course of nature might reason that he would presently grow up and become a man, merely from the fact that he had already grown to a certain extent and in a certain way, and that he saw around him other children and young people at every stage of growth between his own and the adult level.

7. The study of the condition of man at the present time, of the immediate methods for his evolution, and of the effect upon that evolution of his thoughts, his emotions, his actions - all this is regarded by theoso-phical students as a matter of the application of well--known laws as a broad, general principle, and then of careful observations, of painstaking comparison of many cases in order to comprehend the detailed work-ing of these laws. It is, in fact, simply a question of sight, and this book is published in the hope, first, that it may help earnest students who do not yet possess this sight to realize how the soul and its vehicles appear when examined by its means; and second, that the persons who are now beginning to exercise this vision more or less perfectly, may by it be helped to understand the meaning of what they see.

I am perfectly aware that the world at large is not yet convinced of the existence of this power of clairvoyant sight; but I also know that all who have really studied the question have found the evidence for it irresistible. If any intelligent person will read the authenticated stories quoted in my book Clairvoyance, and will then turn from them to the books from which they were selected, he will see at once that there is an overwhelming mass of evidence in favor of the existence of this faculty. To those who themselves can see, and are daily in the habit of exercising this higher vision in a hundred different ways, the denial of the majority that such sight is possible naturally seems ridiculous. For the clairvoyant the question is not worth arguing. If a blind man came up to us and assured us that there was no such thing as ordinary physical sight, and that we were deluded in supposing that we possessed this faculty, we in our turn should probably not feel it worth while to argue at great length in defense of our supposed delusion. We should simply say: “I certainly do see, and it is useless to try to persuade me that I do not; all the daily experiences of my life show me that I do; I decline to be argued out of my definite knowledge of positive facts.” Now this is precisely how the trained clairvoyant feels when ignorant people serenely pronounce that it is quite, impossible that he should possess a power which he is at that very moment using to read the thoughts of those who deny it to him!

9. I am not attempting, therefore, in this book to prove that clairvoyance is a reality; I take that for granted, and proceed to describe what is seen by its means. Neither will I here repeat the details given in the little book which I have mentioned as to the methods of

10. clairvoyance, but will confine myself to such brief state-ment of the broad principles of the subject as is absolutely necessary in order that this book shall be comprehensible to one who has not studied other theosophical literature.
