Okay, the dead trunk is more like a sickle than a scythe, but if there is a creature that gives form to the Grim Reaper, this is the one! The mist here is actually mizzle, not great photography weather. I saw a shadow form in the mist and this vulture started to take shape and came in to land.
And no, I'm not fed up with the rain yet!

First for me at Raf Lakenheath Home of the 48th Fighter wing. F-15C's from 493fs 'Grim Reapers' depart from 24 end.

Allow me to introduce the 'Pigtailed Reapers'.
Tasked with infantry conscription, these automatons employ an extremely simple recruitment method:
1. Target Acquisition.
2. Headshot.
3. Mechanical Resurrection.
Halloween may not be until October 31st. but why wait, for $175 at Costco Australia you too can have a lunging Grim Reaper in your home! Hours of fun can be had as he laughs, screams and threatens to take you to the world beyond the grave!
My interpretation of how the Grim Reaper himself would look 100 years in the future, with his gear. His scythe has evolved into a Claw Fist, and he now wields a shotgun.
His armor has rust and verdigris to show its age and usage.

Alias: Reaper
Real Name: Sorine Presecan

Backstory: As one of seven chosen Maidens of Zuchted, Sorine was given a weapon. The scythe she was given is called Last Rites. On the battlefield, before finishing an opponent off, she always offers them a final moment of prayer before killing them. The scythe absorbs the souls of those it's slain. These souls amplify the portal generation abilities of the scythe, which allows for longer use of the same portal, and better control over where it leads. Unlike most of the other maidens, Sorine has a hard time trusting Roland Fulbertus IV as king, as she feels he's just a party boy at heart, that will lead his country to ruin. It also doesn't help things that she was quite close with Roland's father, the old king, before he died. She stands by him and the rest of the maidens for the sake of Zuchted. The Reaper like appearance is manifested everytime she's in contact with the scythe.
