While going through old images I decided to look at this under exposed RAW image that was nearly solid red since I had never white balanced it. When this photo popped to life for me in my software I had a significant realization as to why I love infrared so much and never tire of white leaves.
To me, plants are calm and stately. They're clean, steady, consistent, and live in peace. They represent some (almost Zen-like) ideals that I always want to try to incorporate into my life.
White is often equated with purity, so by combining something that is symbolically positive for me (plants) with another symbol of purity (white), it produces a type of pure ideal that I think all of this time has appealed to me on a subconscious level.
This photo is the leaf of a sunflower seedling that my mom gave to me when her and my grandma came to visit me memorial day of last year. The poor little plants didn't make it in the indirect sunlight that my apartment gets, but I'm glad I have this photo from them.

over the glee that comes from presenting our stormies in playful poses,
a population is struggling for free speech, openness, modernisation and realization... a population now living in fear and further isolation.
let's all hope for their voices to be heard.. not muted
(i know, i know... what do stormies have to do with it?.. as they presented their so called "order" across that galaxy far far away... so do those militias/police in Iran in their motorbikes threatening protesters expressing their thoughts... this was suppose to be a fun shot inspired by the just concluded Ohio bike week but after seeing CNN's coverage of the crisis in Iran i had to pose this to call attention that while we're all enjoying our "freedom" other people are being punished for expressing their desire for it!)
Thinking of waiting for the re-issue.. then on a Sunday, wandering in Central Square Central with nothing on mind to buy, saw them in Ng's Collection, instantly grabbed the best crop that is left among the 4 boxes, hahahaha p(^-^)q
The Self Realization ceremony gives knowledge of the eternal Soul within us. Becoming free from wrong beliefs and attaining right beliefs allows us to realize who we really are.
I was thinking today about how much I’ve been obsessing about getting “the shot” and how that has effected my memory and experiences. I think that this obsession has effected the way I go about things, instead of enjoying the day for its natural beauty and the pure experience of it I’m always seeking the perfect exposure. So today during the sunset [that you see the tail end of here] I just sat and watched instead of worrying about f-stops and composition. During this time the sun had already gone below the horizon but the bridge was lit with what looked like alpenglow, it looked to be on fire, it was tremendous. I’m sure it would have made for a brilliant exposure, but since I’m not doing this for a living I can afford to miss one of those every now and again.
Nigambodh (meaning “realization of knowledge”) Ghat situated on the banks of the Yamuna River /back of Red Fort consists of a series of bathing and ceremonial steps leading to the waters of Yamuna River. It is known for being the busiest & oldest (dating back to the times of Pandavas) burning ghat in Delhi for performing last Hindu funeral rites. As per the legends, it is believed that Lord Brahma bathed and recovered his lost memory on this Ghat, so the name Nigambodh Ghat, meaning realization of knowledge.

Sahaja Yoga meditation.
During the week-end from 19th to 21st September a total of 136 seekers received their Realization during three public programs (in a mall, inside a municipal public library and on a large sea side walk near the sea).
Also two nuns received their Realization, one of them seemed open minded and has nothing against yoga. It was wonderful to witness for first time nuns receiving Realization and feeling the cool breeze!!! (Hala)

The ultimate purpose of life is to get Self Realization, finish all our karma and attain ultimate liberation. But suppose, in so many religions, they do not know about the Soul, then the second purpose of life is to oblige others, help others.

Know the difference between a 'guru' (teacher/preacher) and a 'gnani' (the enlightened One). Know the qualities of a true guru and a gnani in order to identify them when they come your way. The two have very different virtues. A gnani is free from anger, pride, deceit and greed. And a gnani is One who has experienced His true Soul and enables others also to do so. A true gnani is in no need of money/ disciples/respect etc... He is above all material things.
