I liked how her eyes portray a very deep emotion that is hard to find in pictures. It was really dark in this room so I had a really high ISO (3200) and a slow shutter speed (1/80) so that enough light entered the lense. The aperture was also low (f/6.3) so that the details where clear and it was completely focused on me.

This little guy was feeding in the grass and weeds with his family. When I approached, the mother and father lead the family to the water. This little guy was too busy feeding. This is the moment when he looked up and realized the rest of the family had left. He then took off running to catch up. It made me laugh to see his reaction.
I took this at the Self-Realization Fellowship center is in Eninitas California.
The Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens are open to all that seek to come here to relax their mind, body, and spirit. Walking the grounds here is so tranquil, you can look out over the open waters of the mighty Pacific Ocean or you can find a spot nested in the gardens that gives you shade and floral fragrance as you rest your mind.
I don't know if its the book I'm reading, or the fact that I've been off of the medication for over a month, I don't know if its the haircut or the fact that I quit my job or the fact that I've given up too many times to count but today something inside of me clicked. today I realized that its okay to be happy. its okay to be depressed and to be sad but its okay to let that go every once in a while and have days where you're just: okay. days where everything seems to fit.
Maybe this won't make sense to you unless you know me but today I figured out that I am not my depression, or my anorexia or my body dysmorphic disorder. I have all of these things, and they will always be a part of me but they don't define me, they don't make up who I am as a whole. I am MORE than the sadness and the self hatred and the recurring thoughts. just that thought: I AM MORE. made a difference.

The book sale started at midnight and there were a horde of people out to secure more books than they are going read to a price they belive is good.
What few people know is that the books actually arn't outgoing stock sold at a lower price. They are instead new editions printed on cheaper paper for this particular event. Therefore it isn't a real sale but rather an annual publicity stunt to promote reading. :-)
"There was a clear realisation as to how the kashays are working within, as I saw my friends, doing the seva near Pujyashree, during the darshan program. I could notice the kashays coming up.This was a very amazing experience of penance and letting the kashays burn with the awareness of the Separation from within.

They borrowed my colored pens to decorate their notecards after writing their realizations. They were so cute, and looked so happy decorating them.
Many of the children chanted 64 rounds - that is saying the Hare Krishna maha mantra (Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare) 108 times to complete each round! It was really impressive!!

I realize that...
- A child's birthday is even more of a big deal to her mother. It's a day for a mom to remember the events leading up to her new role. It's the anniversary of becoming a mom.
- There is an innate urge to smack another child who taunts or torments your offspring.
- I should stop laughing when my daughter says "Asshole."
- I make a really good birthday cake despite the opinion of a four-year-old party attendee.
- I am responsible for my own happiness.
- I am way too sensitive about things that I shouldn't be.
- I cannot please everyone although I really try to.
- I don't really know my parents like I think I do and/or should.
- My mood and self-esteem are directly linked to my photography productivity. (Obviously, that has been lacking.)
- A lot can change in two years.
Emptiness is felt as you are seated in your relative Self. After Self-Realization, the two are separate – Pure soul and relative Self. Then you can support and console by talking to your relative Self.

My painting by Splendora has a new realization in it for me every day. It stretches me to accept the Love that the universe has for me and to accept the my own gloriousness. My painting contains symbols of infinite light as well as my own darkness, and their lies my struggle. She really "got it". Splendora is an incredible conduit for creating a beautiful reading in framed form to be a symbol for guidance to treasure for life.

What causes karma?
Pujya Deepakbhai explains that the underlying wrong belief of who am I, is the cause of all karmas. All the activities-behaviour-speech of the body and ego are considered as your own - which leads to the binding of karma. The real Self-realization is to know and be aware that you are a pure Soul. Karta-bhaav is the root cause of all karmas. If one does anything wrong, then one should do bhav pratikraman (repentance) - seeking for forgiveness (in your mind) from the Soul of the person you hurt.
