Chatting with our Undercover Boss and Jason Hawes from Ghosthunters today at work. Stuck having my first celebrity shot be from a point and shoot. Oh well.
Sean Casey and the Tornado Intercept Vehicle 2 sits alongside a road near Salina, Kansas, June 3, 2009, during "Tornado Intercept Practice". The practice simulates the deployment of vehicles and instruments near a tornado; the part of the tornado is played by this pickup truck that steadily moves towards the participants at around 20 miles per hour. Funded by the National Science Foundation and NOAA, Project Vortex 2 is a two year mission to study tornadoes and supercell thunderstorms.
This is one of the photos included in the press-kit for the upcoming IMAX movie "Tornado Alley".

_EXCLUSIVE_ Los Angeles_ CA _ Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchinson are happy as can be. It happend. I can't believe my images made it to nat'l tv. Although Stacey was the first to be kicked out. I am so proud of her. I believe in her vision and that is why I have stuck with her since she started designing.
So these were the photos that were shown about um, 2.5 sec on tv, the third one longer during the casting special - which the judges made a comment about how it's unbelievably cut up her leg.
I feel like I was published for the first time. I'm in photo heaven. And phewee to the photo fashion teacher (who I respect) but didn't like these photos when I showed them to class last semester.
Another notch under my belt. I'm going to NYC next month and ready to broaden my viewer base.
Note about these images: i was on, no kidding, 1600 ASA. Rookie mistake but it turned out fine.

Sand dunes the size of small hills rise above the remote beach of Cul na Croise at Gortenfern near Acharacle, at the eastern end of Scotland's Ardnamurchan peninsula. My vantage point was in the dunes, with even higher dunes rising behind me. Most of the footprints in the sand were made by wild animals (mostly red deer) rather than people - though some are mine.
The Inner Hebridean islands of Eigg and Rum dominate the horizon left of centre, while the Isle of Skye is just visible in the far distance right of centre.
