Taking photos of the sun through a welding-mask glass. That's why the sun on the left is green. Photo on the right from NASA/SOHO (sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov).
I took this photo before knowing that this very sunspot (giant "AR 1520", apparently) would, the day later, eject an X-class solar flare expected to cause various radio or power grid blackouts on Earth.
The yellow sun is rotated to match the green sun. They are indeed the same sun, just in case you were wondering.
Camera: Canon T2i
Lens: 75-300 zoom (300mm this image)
100% crop from 3456x2304 image; I should have used the largest 18MP format, or even RAW, for better clarity.

This image is the final interactive effect entirely made with vvvv. No post-production on it at all, it is 100% generated in realtime.
The idea : if there is someone in front of the controller the spray/ball will transform into the Spectral and you can control it with your Kinect.
Then, if there is nobody, the Spectral will transform back into the spray/ball and move around.

This is a render created by Realtime UK for a driving game concept I was working on at Juice Games Ltd, the Ford GT asset you see in the render was created by myself and passed to Realtime to create this concept imagery.
