This is primarily a test, but also a bit of a teaser to see if the new ifttt script I wrote will allow me to create a full blog post just by uploading a picture to Flickr.
The text of this post is taken from the Description of the photo, just as the blog title. Categories are preset as tags, and I have a trigger tag, so only photos I want should be turned into blog entries. If this works ill be writing more about it, and the different tools involved.
Wish me luck!

Japanese energy company are publishing on their site realtime energy numbers (updated every 5 minutes) in an effort to avoid rolling blackouts in the wake of the Earthquake and Tsunami which left TEPCO with 17 of its 54 nuclear reactors operational.
RGB.VGA.VOLT is an audio/video synthesizer that enables realtime exploration of the rich materiality concealed beneath the consumer interfaces of cathode ray tube computer monitors. By hacking and improperly rewiring the cables of these obsolete devices to short their video signals, their black-boxed analog infrastructure is liberated and driven by digitally synthesized high-frequency complex waveforms, audio playback, and feedback loops that fully exploit their latent visual spectrum. Inspired by early video tools such as the Sandin Image Processor and the Paik-Abe Synthesizer as well as contemporary programming and error-based approaches to sound and moving image, RGB.VGA.VOLT revives an analog aesthetic that has acquired a renewed power and potency in the present era of digital immateriality.
The instrument, demonstrated on four VGA computer monitors in this video, combines custom built software, hardware modification, and DIY instrumentation. This PDF includes full documentation of the RGB.VGA.VOLT software as well as the instrumentation used in interfacing the software with VGA computer monitors for realtime synthesis.

nothing clever - An FFT spread drives an animation in VVVV, frequency of sound effects orientation, colour and scaling of each item (which is itself a spread of quads)
I'm thinking of a mass spectometer graph for sound
Experimenting to find optimum spread values, damper values and so forth.
What colour is the frequency of sound you hear?
Is this like making mole hills out of mountains? A huge congrats to our friend Peter Cunningham and the crew from RealTime Racing for an outstanding performance at this past weekend’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb! Just six days before his 55th birthday (BTW, happy birthday, PD), Peter made his Pikes Peak debut, where he won the Open Class, set a new class record (9:33.797), finished second overall, and earned the Rookie of the Year title, driving the RealTime Acura TLX GT on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GTD1 wheels!
This image is the final interactive effect entirely made with vvvv. No post-production on it at all, it is 100% generated in realtime.
The idea : if there is someone in front of the controller the spray/ball will transform into the Spectral and you can control it with your Kinect.
Then, if there is nobody, the Spectral will transform back into the spray/ball and move around.

We’re extremely proud to have played a role in the first public test of RealTime Racing’s new Acura NSX GT, at the Pirelli World Challenge Championships weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. This incredible platform debuted on 18-inch Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GE1R wheels finished in Graphite. The first official test went great, and we look forward to additional testing, throughout the remainder of the 2016 season! See more at: www.forgeline.com/customer_gallery_view.php?cvk=1722

Quick realtime depth of field test. Each sphere is a weak deferred point light source with a random colour (high attenuation) - this causes all the different colours. A simple HDR tone mapping equation is used to adjust the exposure - without it, all the lights bunched in the center tend to turn a bright white.

Watching Real time with Bill Maher tonight, they did a little montage of all the people who can nick off now Obama's in. Included the regulars - Bush, Cheney, Karl Rove, but a few newbies like O.J. Simpson and Joe the Plumber.
I took this onstage to illustrate a point.

What an incredible weekend for Ryan Eversley and the RealTime Racing team, at Road America! After a dominating 1-2 finish for Ryan and teammate Peter Cunningham, on Saturday, Ryan started Sunday’s Pirelli World Challenge GT race on the pole, led the entire race from green to checker, and claimed his second win of the weekend! So that makes another three trophies, 2 wins, and a second place, for the RealTime Acura TLX-GTs on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GTD1 wheels! Great job, Guys!
