There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
Há mais coisas no céu e na terra, Horácio, do que sonha a tua filosofia.

In the middle of the Tram Cemetery in Uyuni and covered by a wonderful sky, it was time to philosophize and photograph.
No meio do Cemitério de Trens em Uyuni e coberto por um céu maravilhoso, foi o momento de filosofar e fotografar.

Today was the first day of remote teaching my pupils. It feels so strange to have had the school year cut short so abruptly...
I will be spending my spare time reading, cooking, baking, tending to my plants and listening to music mainly. Expect lots of still life photos coming up too!
It was a cold, wet morning when we spotted this guy working some horses.

Bloggers welcome - I like the publicity.

Don't miss my blog at:
JoJo. It was unbelievably cold in that old house, so props to her for standing there in a very light dress! :)
Read a few descriptions/reviews about this place. Has some good qualities but the stories about the bad were entertaining.

I watched a show on Amazon Prime, Chaco Canyon. I have driven by it for many years and I have never stopped. The ruins were built between 850 -1250 AD. The people that created also setup their buildings to reflect the movement the sun and the moon, or that is what the scientist say. Way above my head.
The thing that got me they also have a picture showing the Alien Throne. They never explained it, but makes me wonder if there was some connection between the Chaco Canyon and the Throne. They never say anything about it. They do say a road went straight north to the Valley of Dreams area.
So If anyone has any information that shows a link between Chaco Canyon area and the Alien Throne I would appreciate seeing it.
thanks
When we think about a dream or a wish, we often think about money, health. But what about freedom? Liberty is not less important than health or happiness, just think for a moment, will we be more happy or healthy if we don say what we want, if we don't think what's really happening, if we don't act like we do, if we are not us? Will we enjoy life then? Don't let anybody or anything or yourself turns you into a fictional reality, we're not robots, we are the actions of our thoughts. We are free to be free. So if I could make a wish I would wish I never lost freedom.

I've noticed Mistletoe growing increasingly in UK trees, so I read up about it and learnt that it's due in part to an influx of continental blackcaps from Germany that have started overwintering in Britain, with many thousands now spending their winters here.
'Blackcaps are migratory warblers that are becoming regular winter visitors to our bird tables. Berries, including those of mistletoe, are an essential part of their diet. On eating the white flesh of the mistletoe berry, the birds wipe their bills on twigs and branches, leaving behind the seed. If the seed is deposited on a host tree and manages to take hold, a mistletoe plant might germinate on the branch. It seems that blackcaps are more efficient at spreading mistletoe seeds than other birds, such as the mistle thrush, which also feed on the berries.' - www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2018/12/where-does-mistleto....
'According to the Anglo-Saxons, kissing under the mistletoe was connected to the legend of Freya, Norse Goddess of love, beauty and fertility. According to legend, a man had to kiss any young girl who, without realizing it, found herself accidentally under a sprig of mistletoe hanging from the ceiling.' www.thewhitegoddess.co.uk/articles/mythology_folklore/mis....

One of the first sites that you will see as you drive closer into the park, is Newspaper Rock. They had a lot to say back then.

I LOVE rocks, have collected them all my life, and many times, friends who travel bring back rocks for me! These are mixes from all over the world. I have them on top of the soil in some of my large flower pots. That way, I see them every time I water! And yes, I have to take the rocks OFF when I move plants in! I am pretty sure they add 5 lbs to the pots! :)
I've never considered myself the most observant person. In fact, I must have walked by this same bike rack in the village thousands of times without a second thought. It’s funny how something so mundane can suddenly reveal its potential. Today, I finally noticed how the light hits it just right, contrasting the black rails against white walls and the way the rack recedes when you view it from a low angle. It struck me that this was a photograph waiting to be taken. This moment made me realize how often we overlook the beauty in everyday things. Being observant isn’t just about seeing with your eyes but also about experiencing with your mind and heart. Sometimes, all it takes is a slight shift in perspective to appreciate the hidden gems in our daily surroundings. So, here’s to paying a bit more attention and discovering the unnoticed wonders that have always been right in front of us.
