I have no idea what species of lilies these are. I was at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh in the rain yesterday, and I took this shot from a bridge above one of the ponds there, during a short lull in the deluge. The colours of the leaves in the dull light, were quite spectacular.

When a flock of geese takes off it resembles a chain reaction leading to an explosion of wings. A nearby eagle triggers the snow geese into the air.

De Stokroos
Als de stokroos in de lente gezaaid wordt, vormt de plant dat jaar alleen blad en zal pas het volgende jaar bloeien. Zaait men de stokroos aan het einde van de zomer (augustus/september) dan kan de plant het jaar daarop in bloei staan, maar dat is afhankelijk van het weer, het kan ook een jaar langer duren. De stokroos vormt na de bloei naast de oude rozet nieuwe uitlopers. De oude stengel moet worden afgeknipt, anders kost dat de plant te veel energie.

The Hollyhock
If the hollyhock is sown in the spring, the plant will only form leaves that year and will not flower until the following year. If the hollyhock is sown at the end of summer (August/September), the plant can flower the following year, but that depends on the weather, it can also take a year longer. After flowering, the hollyhock forms new offshoots next to the old rosette. The old stem must be cut off, otherwise it will cost the plant too much energy.

Deur van het Nederlands Bakkerijmuseum in Hattem
Het museum bestaat uit twee hoofdgebouwen, namelijk het "Pand" en het "Backhuys". Het Pand heeft het interieur van een 18e-eeuwse bedrijfskeuken. Het Backhuys werd in 1985 gekocht en in 1987 onderdeel van het museum. Het Backhuys was voordat het onderdeel van het museum een café. De twee gebouwen werden in 1990 met elkaar verbonden door een ondergrondse tunnel.
Het museum werd in 2000 een officieel geregistreerd museum.

The museum consists of two main buildings, namely the "Pand" and the "Backhuys". Het Pand has the interior of an 18th-century company kitchen. Although I normally never photograph people (mainly because I always feel a little embarrassed by it) this opportunity was too good to be true. I was on my way to Oslo, when in Tinn I saw this scenery, and the story I Imagine is in the tittle.
BTW I would everybody to thank on the enormous positive amount of reactions on my latest post. In the coming days |I hope to give it more attention, but for now already thanks a lot. BTW this shot was taken in Tinn, at Tinnsjö.
This was the best example of recurrsion that I could come up with as I wasn't exactly sure what recurrsion actually is.

De opvallende gele stadstoren genaamd de Gradski Toranj. Vroeger stond hier de stadspoort, maar door een aardbeving in 1750 is alles verwoest. Honderd jaar later werd de klokkentoren gebouwd ter vervanging van de poort. De toren is een bewijs van de architectonische en artistieke vaardigheden uit het verleden.
De toren is versierd met afbeeldingen van de Oostenrijkse keizers Karel VI en Leopold I en heeft een poort die uitkomt op de belangrijkste straat van de stad, Korzo
Met zijn opvallende kleur en imposante uitstraling is de Gradski Toranj niet te missen

The striking yellow city tower, the Gradski Toranj, once served as the city gate, but an earthquake in 1750 destroyed everything. A hundred years later, the clock tower was built to replace the gate. The tower is a testament to the architectural and artistic skills of the past.
Decorated with images of the Austrian emperors Charles VI and Leopold I, the tower features a gate that opens onto the city's main street, Korzo.
With its striking color and imposing presence, the Gradski Toranj is impossible to miss.

Found this log washed up on the Beach with the vibrant red markings on it, didn't know if it was paint or some kind of reaction between the wood and the salt water....any ideas?
In our earth-lab, a life form has existed randomly, thanks to the reaction of atoms of the ingredients which were already there, in the lab, for the creation of this life form. It has started to develop and expand on the earth, randomly. Later, after billions of years, it got conscious, randomly , but not all life forms have headed to the same direction. The evolution occurred according "the tree of life”.
Speculation:
Big bang has sealed the fate of our future by creating the atom based universe, like all the necessary ingredients were put in a beaker, in a chemical lab, to become the expected ( not randomly) chemical solution.
A life form is the expected result, depending of the time, of the existence and reaction of ingredients in a beaker.
