When a flock of geese takes off it resembles a chain reaction leading to an explosion of wings. A nearby eagle triggers the snow geese into the air.

View of the Buda Castle, the old royal palace, is a historic castle complex in the Hungarian capital Budapest. The complex is located on the Burchtheuvel (Várhegy), the old city center Buda at 70 meters above the Danube.
Buda Castle is located on the Buda side of the city. This old royal palace that dates back to the 13th century was for years the home of the kings of Hungary. But the palace did not remain unaffected. For example, it was badly damaged during the invasion of the Turks and during the Second World War. Due to the various reconstructions, it underwent a number of major style changes. The palace now houses the Hungarian National Gallery, the national Szechenyi library and the Budapest Historical Museum.

2 chicks tread a bare line in darkness,
Puffs of dust waiting in the nebula
For the spark of another
The one who spins from the heat
A purple, glittering gas
with X ray feathers that beat
Fumbling over the first, beak
Locked like a missile for the second
Target, a growing, reactive star.
Mum always did prefer the second.
Last shot from Esquimalt Lagoon, a Northern Pintail flying by, fast and low. Honesty, I have no idea how I got this in focus. Just quick reaction time and lots of luck; I usually miss these shots. I was using a D800 body - only 4 fps, but it was Nikon's first large sensor, high dynamic range camera and the quality upgrade from my previous Nikon bodies was dramatic.
Tomorrow, on to a new location.

It was built in 1691-1692 by Arp Schnitger, In 1728-1729 the organ was further expanded by Franz Caspar Schnitger, the son of Arp Schnitger. Because he died, the work was completed in 1730 by his master servant
In the seventies, Jürgen Ahrend from Leer was asked to return the organ as much as possible to the state in which Hinsz and Struiwig had brought it in 1740. Ahrend has retained some valuable additions from later times. The restoration lasted from 1976 to 1984.

Antwerp Central Station (by the people of Antwerp also called the Central Station, the Central Railway or Statie Cathedral, in the railway jargon shortened to Antwerp Central) is the main station at the Queen Astrid Square in Antwerp. From 1873 to early 2007 was a terminal station, a station where all trains had to reverse. On March 23, 2007 opened a tunnel with two through tracks under the station and part of the city of Antwerp.

Happy Caturday.
So I got myself an early birthday present by picking up the Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS. I quickly learned something. When I go out and shoot with the lens on the Right, I get "Hi there! Its a great day for taking pictures today isn't it?". When I go out to shoot with the lens on the Left I get, "Excuse me... do you have a permit? What are you here to shoot?" The latter is very annoying. But, it wont dull my excitement of a new lens! :)
