I have no idea what species of lilies these are. I was at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh in the rain yesterday, and I took this shot from a bridge above one of the ponds there, during a short lull in the deluge. The colours of the leaves in the dull light, were quite spectacular.

When a flock of geese takes off it resembles a chain reaction leading to an explosion of wings. A nearby eagle triggers the snow geese into the air.

Paardenkastanje (Aesculus)

De boom bloeit in mei (een tweede bloei is mogelijk in het najaar) met eindstandige bloempluimen (ook kaarsen genoemd). De bloempluimen groeien half maart samen in de knop met het nieuwe blad. De bloemen groeien aan de buitenkant van de boom en staan rechtop in de oksels van de bladeren.

De pollenaanmaak is zo groot dat ze ook verspreid worden door de wind. De licht allergene pollen in de lucht dragen bij aan het optreden van hooikoortsachtige verschijnselen bij mensen die hier een allergie voor hebben.

Deur van het Nederlands Bakkerijmuseum in Hattem

Het museum bestaat uit twee hoofdgebouwen, namelijk het "Pand" en het "Backhuys". Het Pand heeft het interieur van een 18e-eeuwse bedrijfskeuken. Het Backhuys werd in 1985 gekocht en in 1987 onderdeel van het museum. Het Backhuys was voordat het onderdeel van het museum een café. De twee gebouwen werden in 1990 met elkaar verbonden door een ondergrondse tunnel.

Het museum werd in 2000 een officieel geregistreerd museum.

De zwarte vlek boven de tak in de reflectie van de wolk is een Helicopter maar die komt jammer genoeg niet goed door in de reflectie :-))

Premier chasseur soviétique à ailes en flèche produit en grande série, il marque une rupture technologique majeure.

Propulsé par un turboréacteur Klimov VK-1, il atteint près de 1 000 km/h et peut évoluer à plus de 15 000 m d’altitude.

Son armement puissant, composé de canons de 23 mm et de 37 mm, le rend particulièrement redoutable.

Il se distingue lors de la guerre de Corée face aux chasseurs occidentaux, notamment le F-86 Sabre.

Produit à plus de 15 000 exemplaires, il équipe de nombreuses forces aériennes dans le monde.
