The Tri-colored Herons also possess quite a reach and can definitely do a bit of a stretch if the prey tends to be a bit far away. Photo taken on Horsepen Bayou.

It's not often that we can measure the height of clouds, but here is an opportunity. The peaks of Mt.Unwin (3270m/10,728') and Mt. Charlton (3219m/10561') reach almost one mile above Lake Maligne (1670m/5480'). To top of the clouds would be approximately 10,000' higher topping out at almost 20,000'/6000m.

This is the closest I've come to a sunflower patch. I guess it is one but not the size I'm used to seeing.
You will find something more in woods than in books. Trees and stones will teach you that which you can never learn from masters.

I kind of like this image of a fallow deer I was watching yesterday morning at sunrise. I had the camera tripod mounted shooting at around 1/30 second, which is always a bit hit and miss; but I was struggling for light and seem to have got away with it here keeping the ISO to a minimum.
There is a place of renewal and happiness within you.. All you need to do to reach it ..is withdraw your attention from the outside world and focus on the strength and the energy inside of yourself

💭 Did you know Saguaro cacti can grow to be 200+ years old and 40+ feet tall, in an environment that barely receives double-digit annual rainfall totals coupled with air temperatures routinely exceeding triple-digits?! 💪 Talk about perseverance in the face of extreme limitations! I find myself always awe-struck in the presence of these incredible feats of natural engineering.
