As a priest, I am in a preaching-teaching business. After preaching in s Sunday Mass, sometimes I ask myself, what happens to my preaching when parishioners go home? After delivering a talk or a seminar, sometimes, i wonder if my words have connected to my audience and will there be any good fruit?
Although, what is important is that I do my part in the best way that I can, but once in a while it's so inspiring and encouraging to discover that your words, in one way or another, have made a little difference.
Deo gratias!

Here is the front cover of another book I've published, my personal recollections of time spent working as a train guard taking commuters, and other travellers, up to London from the south coast resort of Hastings. Not a book specifically for train buffs, more a reflection of the times when train travel was still popular. The period covered is actually from 1977 to 1984, a time of change with union disputes, but also the height of IRA activity on the British mainland which impacted directly on my working conditions. Added to this is the fun side, the interaction with the travelling public, the weather conditions and the odd accident!
I posted this photo before when first publishing the book, but now I've made it available not only on Kindle but as a paperback via Amazon.
