Cos ah ah I’m in the stars tonight
So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight

Cup of milk let’s rock and roll
King Kong kick the drum rolling on like a rolling stone
Sing song when I’m walking home
Jump up to the top LeBron
Ding dong call me on my phone
Ice tea and a game of ping pong
This is getting heavy
Can you hear the bass boom, I’m ready
Life is sweet as honey
Yeah this beat cha ching like money
Disco overload I’m into that I’m good to go
I'm diamond you know I glow up
Hey, so let’s go
Cos ah ah I’m in the stars tonight
So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight
Shining through the city with a little funk and soul
So I’mma light it up like dynamite, woah
Bring a friend join the crowd
Whoever wanna come along
Word up talk the talk just move like we off the wall
Day or night the sky’s alight
So we dance to the break of dawn
Ladies and gentlemen, I got the medicine so you should keep ya eyes on the ball, huh
This is getting heavy
Can you hear the bass boom, I’m ready
Life is sweet as honey
Yeah this beat cha ching like money
Disco overload I’m into that I’m good to go
I'm diamond you know I glow up

"I'd rather be a lover than a fighter, 'cause all my life i've been fighting.
Never felt a feeling of comfort, all this time I've been hiding.
I'm in need of a savior, but i'm not asking for favors, my whole life i've felt like a burden... I think so much and i hate it..
I'm tired of caring..."

It has been a long time to not see you. Around seven years and you came to my life again. Still want to carry me with you?
You took my life and happiness during the days it supposed to be happy. Now why you're back?
Thanks for rememberme the nightmare of being in the hole.
I can just give you three of my days but not all me...not yet.
A rather elegant flower that I spotted in a local park last fall. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thank you for your visits and comments, they're all greatly appreciated.

Hear these tales of fantasy.
No real journeys, no real pain.
No understanding left to gain.

Gannets or rather Northern Gannets (morus bassanus) are native to the coasts of the North Atlantic. 60-70% of the world's population nest around the coast of the UK. Preferred nesting sites are on coastal hillsides and cliffs.
Famed for their super-fast dives into the sea, from a height of 30m they can hit the water at speeds of up to 60mph. Apart from having a stream-lined bodies, to help cushion the impact they have an extensive network of air-sacs between their muscles and skin.
Adult pairs are monogamous and may remain together over several seasons, if not for live. They separate when their chicks leave the nest but bond again the following year. Bonding is reinforced by characteristic head-caressing movements.
A rather showy bloom for which I added a background texture in Topaz Studio 2.
Thank you so much for your views and comments, they're all appreciated! Have a great day!

A rather pleasant morning at Wood Rd, finds Canadian Pacific's empty ballast train heading towards Watertown, where they will leave the CP mainline and travel over the Wisconsin & Southern's Watertown sub 11 miles to the Michels quarry at Waterloo for ballast loading.

A rather independent gosling who'd decided to look for his brothers and sisters, a moment which made me laugh. I'm all for the renegade!
Thank you for your views and comments, much appreciated. Have a great weekend!
A rather common migratory bird found in the countryside during winters. They converge in large numbers on areas with lots of Black Soil - agricultural fields, lake beds, banks of rivers / ponds / lakes etc... And would look to consume insects in the soil. They help the farmers immensely by getting rid of the those small insects that can hurt the next crop.
There were around 40-50 of them in the field busy looking for small insects in the field which is kind of prepared for the next crop.
Thanks in advance for your views and feedback.
And rather hard to swallow when you witness this unequal struggle. It may take some time but eventually the living frog will go, head first, down the heron's throat. The Grey herons clearly didn't forget their dinosaur ancestry.

A rather better shot than the previous one posted of this species. A raven of mountain country in eastern and southern Africa. From a slide.

A rather dry summer has caused water levels to drop significantly across the state including here at Moose Bay. Aside from a bit of mud, I was able to walk out fairly far along the shore to shoot a wider shot of CP 251 heading west behind CP 8867 and CP 8847.
A rather unimposing shot of this landmark, Old Rag is part of Shenandoah National Park. it is the most hiked mountain in the Eastern United States. Since Covid, crowds have overwhelmed the trail to the point where you must now apply for a ticket to climb on a specified date.
here at the homestead I'd rather throw all the various Lavender 47 variety's together in one big massive explosion.
Of course I'm cultivating by the bunch and not the ton so I can....
A rather unproductive week photowise.
Started a new job after being invited to the world of redundancy, found it didn’t quite live up to its part time description...7 to 8hrs per day instead of 4.
Something has triggered another deliciously agonising episode of g**t, so I’m at a bit of a lower ebb than normal...
...in addition our holiday to Spain has been knocked on the head due to a rising spike in Covid...oh the effin joys.
So this pic is an alternative take on an earlier posting for which I do not apologise.
Anyone from the UK and of a certain vintage may well associate the image with Hovis bread and the strains of the New World Symphony.
Rather large, dark grey-brown goose with typically small orange patch on bill, and orange legs. In flight lacks contrasting pale forewing areas of Pink-footed Goose and Greylag Goose. Not always safely told in the field from Taiga Bean Goose, but Tundra averages a shorter and thicker bill, vs. the longer, more sloping bill of Taiga. Breeds on tundra and winters in farmland and wetlands, where it associates readily with other geese.

The purple finches add an intensity to the color around the garden these rather dark and dreary days
A rather nice sunset looking towards Kinder Reservoir. It was rather cold and a touch windy!
I did want to stay at the Downfall but the company I was with was complaining of the cold so headed back to Sandy. I was greeted with some nice light and now what looks to be a cold :D

The Tawny Eagle (Aquila rapax) is a large bird of prey. Like all eagles, it belongs to the family Accipitridae. It was once considered to be closely related to the migratory Steppe Eagle, Aquila nipalensis, and the two forms have previously been treated as conspecific species.
It breeds in most of Africa both north and south of the Sahara Desert and across tropical southwestern Asia to India.
Throughout its range it favors open dry habitats, such as desert, semi-desert, steppes, or savannah.
The Tawny Eagle's diet is largely fresh carrion of all kinds, but it will kill small mammals up to the size of a rabbit, reptiles and birds up to the size of guineafowl.
The call of the Tawny Eagle is a crow-like barking, but it is rather a silent bird except in display. – Wikipedia
Yes, a rather common bird, but these males sure are flashy! There is a thriving (and breeding) population at Lake Cuyamaca, and the males are in full display mode for the ladies right now. I did this short photo shoot in the nice light AFTER a 24 hour fundraising Birdathon all over San Diego County (which is the size of Rhode Island!). Of course the rare Cackling Goose which was seen the day before was gone.

Rather rough conditions on the Forth yesterday but there were fish about and the Gannets were out in force
A rather fine-looking old pub, but apparently closed for good now if the internet is to be believed. A real pity as the building looks like a gem, this photo was taken on my first ever trip to Thorney (in 2022).

I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.
Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see."

The rather splendid buildings of Carrington Street in Nottingham. When the Broadmarsh shopping centre was here, and the cars, it was quite dark and dirty and squalid. It's been opened up and the scars of the 1970s are being removed. Still a work in progress as this pic shows but starting to get there now.

Rather be the hunter than the prey
And you're standing on the edge face up
'Cause you're a natural
A beating heart of stone
You gotta be so cold
To make it in this world
Yeah, you're a natural
Living your life cutthroat...
