When I was sure I could breath and that I had not broken anything I took out my first aid kit. I've been carrying a first aid kit in my TimBuk2 since 2000 and now it finally came in handy. The fact is that I didn't have anything in the kit to cover the road rash itself, so I just covered wherever blood was coming out. This bandage and some band aids did the trick.

This is the day after, about 26 hours later (with triple antibiotic applied)

Although, I had a great time in Washington DC and I wear protection, I had a few falls. This was the end result.
