Been trying to figure out if this is a lyme disease rash. No bullseye, but not all lyme disease rashes present themselves that way. I'm thinking it is more likely a rose thorn that broke off and abscessed. I was working on them on Saturday and it showed up shortly after that. Petra pulled something out of it for me on Sunday, but she wasn't sure what it was. Fading even more this evening. No other lyme disease symptoms. Paranoid about it because my sister had it pretty badly.
I managed to scrape the scab before I took this photo. Sorry for the extra ickyness.

This is my upper left leg. That's a rash from poison oak contact. This was taken before it got really nasty.
Had it as badly on my left shin, my left forearm and left inside bicep area. I was working in the Santa Monica mountains removing invasive plants. We worked around poison oak two days and though I thought I was being careful I somehow got the worst poison oak rash I've ever had. Completely miserable experience. I couldn't sleep more than a couple hours a day for about 5 days. This was taken 3 weeks ago and my skin still isn't back to normal.
In the middle of a serious downpour, I came up behind some joggers on the UTD hike and bike trail. They were running next to each other, the one on the left in the wrong lane.
As I approached, I shouted out 'passing on your left' and as predicted, the one in the wrong lane took a moment to realize I was talking to them. I was up to them before she could react.
Not wanting to slow down because of the rain, I decided to hop onto the grass and pass off path.
Wet grass is VERY slippery and as I was attempting to hop back onto the hike and bike trail, my wheel caught the ridge and down I went.
The lady felt bad because she thought she bumped me. I just told her I was clumsy and stupid. When they found out I was okay, they jokingly asked me to give them a ride. I guess running in a downpour sucks too.
You can't tell, but I was soaked from head to toe. I think I upset the Starbucks folks with my muddy, wet shirt and bloody arm.
