The Rail Transport Museum tour has just arrived at Rankins Springs on 2nd October 1999. 4803 and 4916 have cut off the train and will run around for the return trip along the branch.

This image has many shapes and lines that give visual tension, especially as they meet at the solid spot that curves. However, the POV gives me a sense of emotional tension. I am not afraid of heights, but looking at this makes me feel as if I'm up higher than I should be. This was cropped to display rule of thirds as well as to direct the eyes from the wide to narrow side of the image. Finally, I increased the dehaze to add texture and depth to the color. Camera settings were f-18, 1/80 shutter at 400 ISO.
With their work for Sunday on the east side of Brandon wrapped up, the Rankin Turn heads back home to Pearl. Nice pair of matched little Belles for power this day, too.

We went to a Rankin exhibition in LA which was amazing, but shockingly small and empty. Rankin being so famous in London its a bit weird that hes not a revered across the water. Still it was incredible and I got too shots, although we had to run out straight after!

Rankin Steady were on stage again last night & the girls, (3 of the 10 members of the 30-year established reggae/ska band) were certainly putting on a show!
My 16-year old daughter,Eleanor,aka Zosia Rankin,is the 'shrinking violet' in the middle of this group.
