Mount Baldo reaches its maximum elevation of 2,218 m with the Cima Valdritta and its minimum elevation of 65 m on Lake Garda. Other prominent peaks in the range are Monte Altissimo di Nago (2,079 m), Cima del Longino (2,180 m), Cima delle Pozzette (2,132 m) and Punta Telegrafo (2,200 m).

Captured the same day as the previous photo I posted. It was a good mid-fall day in the mountains; the snow level creeping down from the peaks, the beaver ponds starting to freeze, and the aspen leaves mostly dropped; leaving the dappled white branches ready to contrast the snow soon to come.

An Icelandic panorama. This shot of a distant mountain range and glaciers was taken from Gullfoss waterfall, I'm not sure of their name though. I've stitched 3 shots together for this panorama.

Built in 1930's as an experimental bombing range. It involved the use of state-of-the-art equipment for tracking the flight of bombs in order to improve their aerodynamics and to produce tables to refine the precision of bomb aiming.

Another loaded taconite train starts down the Iron Range Subdivision bound for Two Harbors. The scene here at Spruce, east of Iron Junction, used to have signals and code line for the approach into the south load-out for the Thunderbird Mine.
Lydd Ranges is a military firing range south of Lydd, in Kent, England. It extends as far as the coast.
It has been used for military training for over 150 years and is part of the Dungeness, Romney Marsh and Rye Bay Site of Special Scientific Interest.Because the range is used for live firing access is sometimes restricted - red flags are flown during these times, access is prohibited along the foreshore and Galloways Road. Also red lights are shown at restricted times due to poor weather. The Danger area extends out to sea and mariners sailing to and from Rye Harbour must pass south of the Stephenson Shoal to avoid it. Firing occurs about 300 days a year. When firing is not carried out, it may be possible to walk along a designated path along the shore
