Was walking back from Durham Regatta with mum and dad and turned the corner to be greeted by this! I'd just been telling my parents earlier in the day about the random 'Illuminate' festival thing a couple of years ago with the inflatable fish and then this came along...inflatable people in a rowing boat, school children with kingfishers on sticks, and cross-dressed men playing trumpets...

it was almost midnight and pretty foggy.

we were basically posted because nothing was going on that night.

got a good laugh after a bum came by the gas station we were at.

14 Days of Nature Stuff

14/14 - A random flowering native plant beside the creek at the start of my regular walk. Not sure what it is but it looks like a Grevillea of some kind - the flowers actually remind me of the Grevillea Robusta (Silky Oak) trees that old Merv had growing next door to us, overhanging the fence right outside my bedroom window when i was a kid. It has yellow in it for RUOK Day though :-)
