I decided to try take a picture of a person as randomly as I could while i was in Portland. I tried while walking down the street, but kept getting distracted and missing the shot, so finally I found this sweet spot in the front window of a pub where I could focus. I cheated on the geographic randomness though- I purposely chose an interesting street with lots of foot traffic. : )
OK, so this was the 16th person that passed by. I think he had something on his mind.

Our first day in Cairo, we were just wandering around, and this looked interesting. Presumably part of a mosque, but other than that, I really know nothing about it.
Apparently, a construction worker decided to hang up this headshot of Anna Pinna. Who Anna Pinna is, I have no clue. Still, there you go.
(Actually, like everyone else on the planet, Anna has a web site. Still, why her picture smiles back at me is anyone's guess.)
Around Cologne Bonn airport there is a nature reserve called Wahner Heide. I went there to check it out. It is nice, especially with a mountain bike but the frequent planes and the ubiquitous dud-warnings (it was once a military training ground) kinda destroy the mood.
This is a panorama at some random Rock I found. Looks like some sort of a monument.
