Funtime putting together a random collection of cropped colour and black and white archive images.

Should slide show not open or image resolution too degraded, let me know, I will delete!

Many of these images were taken on shoots with my friend, Gordon Poole. A.mpa. Arps.

Thanks for watching!

This silhouette of a desert mountain looks like the line graph of a random walk. Holga TLR 120 with Kodak film.

One fun thing about railfanning new places are the random little unexpected industry locomotives and critters that dot rail served facilities across the country, particularly in the agricultural regions of middle-America.

Down along Front Street on the Mississippi River waterfront at the ADM and Modern Transport barge to rail terminal and elevators sat this critter. I didn't see it move but it appears to be in service equipped with RCL equipment and seemingly ballasted with extra weight in its nose. It is clearly GE 80-tonner but has no identifying markings but according to one source online it is believed to be ex-Consumers Power 915, nee-American Viscose no #, blt. Oct. 1946.

30 Days of Perception - Day 28 - Wonder

I always wonder how leaves arrange themselves so gracefully when they fall from a tree. This particular one landed between two different patterns as if to draw attention to itself. It did! Wondrous!

I don't need a stunning sunset to feel a sense of wonder. The simplest of scenes all around me fill my heart with joy!

I chose this dress at random today, just looked through my tightly packed wardrobe and thought, yes, that one, age since I wore that. It's lovely to be in, of course.

Waves break randomly on Praia do Norte ("Northern Beach"), just north of Nazaré.

This location is known, since immemorial times, for it's rough seas, particularly in the winter. "Recently" (regarding the Human occupation of this region), an undersea canyon has been discovered which explains the big waves that occour here - ocean waves reach the shoreline with virtualy no energy loss. Worldwide attention was brought after Mr. Garrett McNamara, in 2013, caught a 30 m wave and set a new World Reccord for the biggest wave ever surfed.
