Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.

ইফতার রোজাদারের জন্য বড় আনন্দের। সারাদিন রোজা রেখে ক্লান্ত ও অবসাদগ্রস্ত হয়ে যায় রোজাদার। কিন্তু ইফতার সবকিছু দূর করে মনে অপার্থিব আনন্দ-উচ্ছ্বাস নিয়ে আসে।

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
[2:185] The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, (let him fast the same) number of other days. Allah desireth for you ease; He desireth not hardship for you; and (He desireth) that ye should complete the period, and that ye should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that peradventure ye may be thankful.

كسوة الكعبة، الكسوة الشريفة من أهم مظاهر التبجيل والتشريف لبيت الله الحرام، ويرتبط تاريخ المسلمين بكسوة الكعبة المشرفة، وصناعتها التي برع في صناعتها أكبر فناني العالم الإسلامي، والإبداع فيها، وتسابقوا لهذا الشرف العظيم.[1]. وهي قطعة من الحرير الأسود المنقوش عليه آيات من القرآن تكسى بها الكعبة ويتم تغييرها مرة في السنة وذلك خلال موسم الحج، صبيحة يوم عرفة في التاسع من ذو الحجة.

Kiswah (Arabic: كسوة الكعبة, kiswat al-ka'bah) is the cloth that covers the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is draped annually on the 9th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day pilgrims leave for the plains of Mount Arafat during the Hajj.[1] The term kiswah is Arabic for 'pall', the cloth draped over a casket, and is a cognate of the Hebrew word kisui.

is a blessing so let’s try not to take it for granted but rather take advantage of it by increasing our Iman (faith) so we can become better Muslims, even after Ramadan is over InshAllah.
I hope it will be great for everyone and inshallah those who are lost will find their way back to righteousness
May this Holy Month brings with it peace, happiness, blessings, prosperity and forgiveness.

"The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan), he must fast that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number (of days which one did not fast must be made up) from other days.
Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him" (quran 2: 185).

I am late in wishing all my Muslim friends on flickr a very happy ramadan.
Ramadan is the month of fasting for all muslims. We keep our fast from sunrise to sunset, and break the fast with all kinds of yummilicious food.
This is a shot from an Iftar ( the breaking of fast) selling restaurant.
There were so many more items on display, I just had to post this one first because I like to break my fast with sweets!

Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was sent down: this Book is a perfect guidance for mankind and consists of clear teachings which show the right way and are a criterion of Truth and falsehood. Therefore from now on whoever witnesses it, it is obligatory on him to fast the whole month, but if one be ill or on a journey, he should make up for the same number by fasting on other days. Allah desires to show leniency to you and does not desire to show any hardship. Therefore, this method is being shown to you so that you may complete the number of Fasting days and glorify Allah for the Guidance He has shown to you and be grateful to Him. (Holy Quran 2:185)

just cut the date, take off the kernel, put the nut inside, close it tight, and let it swim a little in the melted semi-sweet chocolate.... not a little... a lot :))
then take them out and put them on a plate to cool...
and with a cup of tea...... I’m melting!

We are going to Fast from tomorrow, Its Ramadan again. I am pretty excited about this Ramadan, in fact every Ramadan brings happiness to my life. It changes everything around like a magic. Everything gets back to its origional natural form, including our diet, religion and daily routine. We will now fast for 30 days.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ
. اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونِةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُّورٌ عَلَى نُورٍ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
24 - AN-NUR
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful!
35. Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.
24 - Das Licht
Im Namen Allahs, des Gnädigen, des Barmherzigen.
35. Allah ist das Licht der Himmel und der Erde. Das Gleichnis Seines Lichts ist wie eine Nische, worin sich eine Lampe befindet. Die Lampe ist in einem Glas. Das Glas ist gleichsam ein glitzernder Stern - angezündet von einem gesegneten Baum, einem Ölbaum, weder vom Osten noch vom Westen, dessen Öl beinah leuchten würde, auch wenn das Feuer es nicht berührte. Licht über Licht. Allah leitet zu Seinem Licht, wen Er will. Und Allah prägt Gleichnisse für die Menschen, denn Allah kennt alle Dinge.
