With this much light the radish became sort of red:reddish. Another wordplay:-)

Just picking it from my pots Biggest one of the season ?

I can not turn away from Andreas Gursky's 'Paris, Montparnasse' (1993) photograph. I find it's presence fascinating.

A bland full frontal color assault filled with nuanced visual interest. In order to give each apartment an equal share upon the picture plane he took multiple "direct on" pictures and combined them into one sweeping epic panorama. Thus flattening the building onto the screen.

In my photo 'Radishes' I utilized his approach by taking multiple "direct on" shots and combining them into one panorama allowing each radish it's presence on the stage.

Scarlet Globe Radishes picked the other day for lunch with baby lettuce, tumbling tomatoes and basil.

Trying to show the character of this bitter and healthy vegetable

Wishing the greens on the radish were a bit fresher, next time I'll have to grow my own or wait for the Farmer's Market. Unfortunately the flu is continuing to keep my girlie home, I think she improves then new symptoms arrive and set us back again. I tried to change it up and shoot this with my macro lens but just can't get the focus right.

I used to grow these as big radishes for the autumn and early winter, but now I just eat the sprouts, one of my favourites with an appetising purple stem and quite hot, like old-fashioned Cress used to be... I put the leftovers in the garden in case the birds might fancy them and was quickly rewarded by the pretty little flower...
