When the weather is very cold, Vaska often lies down on this desk, which stands near the radiator. There is a mat under the table for Mot'ka, and Vas'ka is laid on the table. As soon as Motka leaves for another place, the cat goes to the dog bed under the table. And sometimes Vas'ka just kicks the dog out of his place and takes the dog bed.

That was yesterday when it was sunny and even unusually warm (for February) but Cleo refused to leave her place near the radiator. I couldn't even lure her outside with treats ! Cleo is definitely a summer girl ...

Took this detailed shot of the glass encased radiator cap, which seems to also serve as a hood ornament, on a custom made 1921 Duesenberg Straight 8 which cost $7,000 when it was built. Although I'm not a big car aficiionado, this vehicle, on display at the Capitol Mall in Washington D.C., was truly a thing of beauty. If you zoom in on it you can clearly read the writing on the cap.

It was only as i was processing this in Nik Silver efex that I noticed what was holding this barn up...

We have decided to go away again possibly Thursday as Jonathan's house, although in a slightly better state of repair than this still won't be dry enough to undergo any more decorating - new floor- new carpets etc etc for weeks yet. The bathroom has had the floor ripped up and a new drain and new shower cubicle and radiator though so some progress :)
