The view over the Radcliffe Camera from the St Mary's church tower is probably the best in Oxford. I've visited there several times, but it's only in winter you can view this scene during the blue hour. I'm happy to capture this scene during this time, and hope everyone enjoy's the result.

Too beautiful not to photograph.....again; the clouds are different.

It is always a nice change of pace when a Canadian-flagged boat loads in two Harbors. The first of that variety is seen here as 403 leads a road set to the outgoing yard.

Not a real camera...camera from the Latin for room. Built between 1737 and 1749 on the orders of the will of Sir John Radcliffe, a notable doctor, who died in 1714 leaving £40,000 for the construction of the Radcliffe Science Library. It is now part of the Bodleian and a reading room for Oxford University.

The Radcliffe Camera (from Latin camera, meaning 'room') is a part of the University of Oxford, England. It was designed by James Gibbs and built between 1737–49 to house the Radcliffe Science Library. It is located to the south of the Old Bodleian and north of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. The Radcliffe Camera's circular design and position in the heart of Oxford make it a focal point of the University of Oxford. The Radcliffe Camera library is not open to the public but you can see inside in the Bodleian tour.

Leauge Division 3 Bury v Sheffield Wednesday, 12 April 1980. Bury won 1-0. Here we see the fairly unusual sight of a dmu crossing the Irwell viaduct at Radcliffe, returning the disappointed Sheffield fans back to Sheffield. The well filled dmus are just about to tackle the 1:49 climb to Whitefield

Taken from the metrolink platform from my phone. Always forget my camera so my husband installed a micro sd card in my phone because I don't usually forget that.

I took this back in 2017, but did a re-edit on it.

There are many photos of the Radcifffe Camera, but please take a minute to zoom in on this one and you will see a precarious bit of repair work being carried out by two men who seem to have looped their rope over some rather iffy statuary. Good luck.

"The Radcliffe Camera is an iconic Oxford landmark and a working library, part of the central Bodleian Library complex.

It is linked to the Bodleian Old Library by the underground Gladstone Link.

The Radcliffe Camera is home to the History Faculty Library (HFL)."

This was a flying visit to Oxford today. I managed to take a couple of snaps dodging the Instagram selfie snappers and large tour groups.
