A tiny conglomerate of golden granules from Sara Westermark. Setting style "borrowed" from Joanna Gollberg, First creation with my new "big girl" Gentec Small Torch. Gotta learn to be mindful of pressure with tools while the flame is on the metal. I'm quite happy with this experiment. Does Joanne still "own" this technique? Love it.

Sterling silver, brass - marriage of metals. There were supposed to be more, but things happened, and now I'm without a torch for awhile. Maybe later.

Winter 2011-12 Ski day two took place on Sunday, and we had a pretty rad one. Temperature's stayed down below -10 all day and kept the snow incredible.

Rich, Renatta, Lars, Sarah, Robbie and I parked our vehicles at the Rainbow Lake trailhead just outside of Whistler and then treked our way up the trail and most of the way up Sproatt. There were a couple of really sketchy sections that need quite a bit more snow before they're easily passable and slowed us down, preventing us from getting right to the top. Instead, we opted to do two laps of a super fun ridge / ravine before heading back out and making it to the cars as the lights as turned on at Whistler Blackcomb.

Here's Rich blazing an uptrack for the rest of us near the end of the day.

Gesehen an der Schlossgastätte Auerbach

I recently purchase this at a ham flea market. I did not realize that it was a Philco until I got it home. That made it even better! Philco was knows for making batteries and then later battery eliminators so that people could run their radios off the mains supply of electricity.

I can't remenber where I found this piece, probably from the beach. I like the long and thin form. It breaks easily and soon there will be nothing left from it. This is a way to preserve it somehow.

This is my second attempt for the RAD Challenge. Made with found, repurposed rubber.
