This baby rabbit (easily fitted in my hands) was brought into the house by a cat as its first ever hunt. It died in the process - probably from shock.

During a recent visit to the old Farm I came back with these photos. I had such a wonderful childhood here.
The marsh rabbit is a slightly smaller, darker version of the more familiar eastern cottontail rabbit, which is best known for its conspicuous cotton puff tail. In contrast, the marsh rabbit has a small gray-brown tail.
