A rendered z stack of the autofluorescence from a rabbit fleas head, taken on a Zeiss LSM700 confocal microscope. I like the paddle like 'hands' on its legs, and the ribbed structure of the body.

Sample was courtesy of a colleague's pet rabbit.

Gir is my French angora male bunny.

Has a sweet tooth and a liking for small flowers, but it is so cute I can't be really annoyed!

Emma's wascally wabbit.

This little rabbit didn't seem to mind modelling for me. Taken close to our camp, off-roading near Moab, Utah.

This bunny lives in my apartment community.

Originally introduced into Britain from Europe in the twelfth century, the rabbit is now often regarded as a pest. Numbers were drastically reduced in the early 1950's during an outbreak of myxomatosis but steadily risen again and there are now an estimated 15 million rabbits in Great Britain.Rabbits are very sociable and live together in warrens made up of extensive burrows in the ground. There is a hierarchy within the warren, where dominant rabbits do not have territories and mix only with other subordinates.

Rabbits are mainly active at night, keeping close to their warren and grazing on vegetation. In winter they may gnaw on bark, which often damages young trees. During the day, while underground, rabbits may eat their soft droppings, which still contain vitamins and proteins. The breeding season extends from January to August; litters are produced at monthly intervals in short burrows away from the buck(male). Three to seven young are born; they are independent within a month and sexually mature at four months.

This cute rabbit is always looking for something to eat. In this case the camera, I think.

Jeff and Rachel's white rabbit on their acreage on Vashon Island, WA - he's a big guy. Belle, the Australian cattle dog, was very smitten. I think he reminded her of Cherry the Chinchilla, Kev's fluffy friend who she loves. A pretty perfect Easter bunny.

Super imposed rabbit

We saw a little rabbit while walking home. I couldn't resist taking a photo.

Looked like this bunny was a scrapper.

This rabbit likes to hang out around my house. I finally got a halfway decent shot of it.

Plenty of rabbits in our backyard.

Seldom seen, the rabbits Bruna and Porter are still around. I finally went to PetsMart, where I used to go several times a week minimum and now it's a miracle if I go there every four or five months. Seriously. Shifra went with me tonight since I'm getting out of work at 6 o'clock which leaves a lot of time to actually enjoy life...weird.

Anyway. Got some hay, bedding, chew treats and cleaned the cages. I also spruced up the kitchen, cleaning out my fridge, the stove (which finally works!), and scrubbing down the cabinets (four dogs will leave plenty of dirt...) all the while looking ridiculously pretty.

My job is going down the toilet and I'm seriously broke, but I'm happy....it feels like I'm human again now that I'm not working so much. I'm going to try to bring up the practicality of me moving to five days a week which will be a fucking miracle ... I think I can do it.

My porter, you know...the one I'm in love with...have always been...put in his two weeks notice. Can't blame him--I'm applying other places as well. I would love to work at a pet store! But anyway....it's so sad. I'll never see him again!

This one looks a lot like Bunny.

There was no rabbit in Mandela's ear when I visited the statue at the Union buildings on 8 Feb 2014. I heard that it was removed...
