A line-up of RT-family vehicles on display at Ash Grove Garage during the 'RT 75' celebrations. Inclulded in the line-up is former St Helens no. 67; although many operators bought second-hand examples from London transport, St Helens Corporation was the only operator to buy them new. No. 67 is preserved at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in Lathalmond, Fife, and representatives brought to bus all the way down to London to participate.
Nearest the camera, RT2688 is blinded up, rather appropriately for the event, as route 75; it also carries 'RT 75' garage code and running number plates, although in reality there has never been a garage coded 'RT'. Route 75 was for most of its life operated by Catford Garage, which coincidentally celebrates its centenary in 2014 and will stage an open day on Saturday 10th May. Route 75, which has been operated by Metrobus' Croydon Garage for the past five years, returns to what could be considered its spiritual home, two weeks before that date.

'RT 75' is the first of the '2014 - Year of the Bus' celebrations, and marks the 75th anniversary of the entry into service of the first RT-types on route 22.
The event featured a number of runs by RT-family vehicles between Piccadilly Circus and Homerton, which was once part of the 22 route. Some buses also ran to and from Ash Grove Garage, where there was also a display of RT-family vehicles, including an ex-St Helens example which had come down all the way from the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in Lathalmond, Fife.

The Scarborough RT (officially Route 3 Scarborough RT)[2] and sometimes referred to as the SRT or RT is a rapid transit line in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The line has six stations and is 6.4 km (4.0 mi) in length. It is operated by the Toronto Transit Commission and administered as part of its subway system, although the Scarborough RT differs technologically from the city’s other three lines in a number of respects. RT simply stands for "rapid transit", as the name "subway" seemed inappropriate for a line with only a small section underground. Internally, the TTC uses the name "rapid transit" to refer to all four lines. The term is sometimes used for streetcar lines as well. The line’s tracks are of standard gauge, unlike those of the rest of Toronto’s streetcar and subway lines.
On 1st July 1964, route 94 was extended in peak hours beyond its usual terminus in Orpington. The very first run through to Sidcup station with RT 1878 (TB) is pictured in Sevenoaks Way, St Paul's Cray at 5.58 am. Wednesday 1st July 1964. 30-8.

LITTLE STAR - A TOP SECRET SOVIET MILITARY BASE ON THE COAST OF THE BALTIC SEA
The 32m radio telescope is located in a forest 30 km north of Ventspils, Latvia, on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The whole military base included 3 radio telescopes: 32m, 16m and 8m as well as all the necessary infrastructure for up keeping over 2000 scientists, generals and soldiers with their families (i.e. a kindergarten, school, shops, technical support houses, 4 block houses with 260 flats, post office etc.) in an area over 400ha. The secret code name for this place was “Звёздочка” (a Little Star) and the road going through the town was “Набережная” (Riparian).

Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Centre currently consists of a 32-metre, fully steerable parabolic, centimeter-wave range antenna (RT-32) and a 16-metre diameter antenna (RT-16). It was built by the Russian Navy in late 1960 but the town itself dates from 1946. In 1994, when Russian army pulled out of Latvia, the withdrawing troops poured acid on the telescope's motors, cut all the cables, took away all the documentation and destroyed much of the surrounding infrastructure. Since 1994, the radio telescopes have been repaired.
