If I recall, this picture was taken soon after I came in country. Ton Son Nhut Air base - Davis station. At this point I was assigned to the 3rd RRU (ASA) having been presented with TDY orders by my original duty station - the 51st SOC (Special Operations Command) on Okinawa,
Little did I know then what lay in store for me..........

VLAT (very large air tanker) DC-10 Tanker 912 makes a drop on the Anza Fire in Riverside County, CA. Thaker 912 is a converted passenger airliner that now carries 11,600 gallons of fire retardant per load.
Mighty fine ... though apparently much nicer than his new clothes.
Taken in the amazing grounds at Royal Roads (my old college) outside Victoria, BC. These birds were the bane of our existence as their very loud and obnoxious mating season coincided with our final exams.

All wheel drive cars with very bright blue lights and also have the old airhorn two tones as well as the electronic sirens!

Happy Window Wednesday from Hatley Castle at Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC, completed in 1908. From 1941 until 1943 when Grant Block was completed, the Castle served as dormitory and mess hall for cadets and staff officers at Royal Roads Military College. It is now the administrative centre of Royal Roads University. It houses the President, Vice-President, the Managers of Finance and Facilities, and the administrative support staff for Royal Roads University. (hatleycastle.com)

CAL FIRE Air Tanker 72 out of the Hemet-Ryan Air Attack Base makes a gorgeoud drop on the Anza Fire in Riverside County, CA. Tanker 72 is a Grumman/Marsh S-2F3AT Turbo Tracker.
When I get too drunk I let other people grab my camera and photograph me. My only regret is that my hair is covering the Kerry/Edwards button I'm wearing. Up here in Canada it's not that easy to get your hands on one.

Después de un atardecer bajo una buena brisa del E, el cielo despejado, espero a la hora azul, cuando las estrellas comienzan a dejarse ver bien en el cielo🌌.
Preparó el encuadre con la luciérnaga 11mm y miro que la Osa Mayor y Menor con Polaris, queden bien en el encuadre⭐
Preparo la Mini Maglite para pintar con luz el mar y eliminar los reflejos, como en aquellos comienzos y pruebas del 2010📷.
Preparo los ajuste para conseguir un buen efecto de color, para una expo de entre 30 o 40 minutos de exposición + la RRuido.⏳
