Not exactly a Thanksgiving picture as we celebrate that holiday today in the US, but I was just reading how Thanksgiving as a national holiday was started by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War to celebrate that the Union was winning and peace would soon return. So with that idea of the end of conflict in mind, I think this is a fitting picture after all.

Nothing lovelier than a Rose. Taken in a cemetery rose garden where the blooms are showing the effects of the wind and rain. But there are still some lovely blooms. This is one of the smaller varieties. HMM:)

Beautiful, very friendly slow moving snakes. If I’m lucky, at dusk or dawn I might find one of these beauties a few times a month. I’ve never known them to bite or even try to.
