Over hundreds of roma families lost all their money and homes in the Pyramid Games in the 90´s. And now they are occupying an old area with really bad sheds/ramshackle buildings in Tirana, because they have nowhere to go. One tap of water for both drinking and washing for almost 200 people! No light. Cold and wet in wintertime. Rats big as cats running over the floor in night. A lot of them are sick and have no money to pay for the medicine or the curropted doctors.
The police tries to get them away. Today I dont know if they are forced away of if they still live there.
