For being such a large city, we were surprised that there weren't more people begging on the streets. Of course, there were a number of people with their hands out, but not that many. This was a statue in front of one of the churches. The hand had a little hole in it that you could drop coins into.

Ubicado a 40 metros de altura sobre el Foro Romano, el Monte Palatino es la más céntrica de las siete colinas de Roma y compone una de las partes más antiguas de la ciudad.
El Monte Palatino está considerado la cuna de la capital italiana y se cree que estuvo habitado desde el año 1000 a.C.
En el Palatino se pueden ver infinidad de restos de las imponentes edificaciones que fueron construidas para la alta sociedad romana en la Antigüedad.
