This was the fourth Stones album ( released April 1966 ) and the first written entirely by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and contained a number of my favourite Stones tracks . "Lady Jane " was a subdued ballad featuring Brian Jones on dulcimer . Other favourites tracks of mine are "Under my thumb" , "Out of time" " I am waiting " and "Mother's little helper" , a song about a housewife who abuses prescription drugs to "get her through the day."
Normally I wouldn't upload an image that I didn't take, but this one is here for a reason. My earliest memory of being fascinated with impractical watches was when I saw this magazine cover.
I knew that that watch on Knopfler's wrist wasn't really blank, it was a trick of the lighting, but my little 14-year-old mind was fascinated by it. I can't tell you how badly I wanted a watch like that - with no numbers, no lines, and no hands. I believe that this may be what ultimately led to my impractical watch collection.

one of my favorite songs but for me it's always been about living my life my way... wild horses couldn't drag me away ... and then really became about my daughter... that is me holding her as a newborn on the iphone... and less of a love song.
interestingly, Keith Richards in his new book says it was originally written for his son, sort of a lullaby, and that Mick changed it to a love song...
