I can't count the number of times I have walked here shooting for my Primordial Soup collection, probably stepping in the same place, not knowing there was a rusty old drainpipe right under my feet. I wonder if whoever finally made the hole fell through into the pipe.

On our drive in the countryside I felt winsome when I saw this composition. Again focus stacking two images allowed me to have the fence and the tree in focus.

Coasties having engine problems? While walking the causeway out to Morro Rock I was focusing on birds when I finally noticed one of the local Coast Guard boats coming down the entrance channel towing another CC boat. They spun the tow around until they were facing the incoming tide then released the tow lines, so I figured they were practicing. Then the tow boat maneuvered alongside the other and it looked like they started lashing the boats together. Then in tandem they moved towards their moorings. As they got close the non-opp boat was released and it coasted to the moorings. Could have been training as I know they try to practice for all eventualities, but it sure appeared to me to be a boat without power being returned to the dock.
Scooby-Doo, Where are you?!
My main build for Brickworld 2017, this mechanical Scooby-Doo creation was...interesting to build. All the figures legs move and I'm able to swap out the horror movie monsters chasing the gang to change up the story.
There will be pictures of this up later, but for now enjoy this short video. Also yes, squeaky gear is squeaky--it was running non-stop for hours and hours yesterday after all!
