Wir trafen diesen ca. 20 Jahre alten sympathischen jungen Mann auf einer unserer Reisen in Nepal. Er arbeitete als Porter (Träger) und trug ungefähr 20 kg Gepäck eines Gastes aus Deutschland durch die Berge.
Zusätzlich zum Gepäck seines Gastes trug er sein eigenes Gepäck und oben drauf hatte er eine elektrische Gitarre gepackt. Diese nahm er jeden Abend um darauf ein paar Akkorde zu spielen. Natürlich unverstärkt, da es in den nepalesischen Lodges keine Elektrizität gibt. Er freute sich als ich ihn fotografieren wollte, er sagte mir er wolle Rockstar werden.
We met this 20 year old young sympathetic man on one of our trips in Nepal. He worked as a porter (carrier) and was wearing about 20 kg of luggage of a guest from Germany through the mountains.
In addition to his guest's luggage he was carrying his own luggage and on top he had grabbed an electric guitar. These he took every night at it to play a few chords. Of course, non-reinforced, since there is no electricity in the Nepalese lodges. He was pleased when I wanted to photograph him, he told me he wanted to be a rock star.

Totally tongue-in-cheek. Ann Marie made a comment yesterday about looking like a rockstar, so I decided to have a little fun. And this jacket is phenomenal fun. There's wiring in all the seams, so it stands up on its own, making it really great for hiding behind the collar. Which I guess rock stars do? I have no idea. ::laugh:: I am so not cool.
