Volturi Twilight Converse Hand Painted Custom Chuck Taylors!

Haha. I have done it! I have successfully grilled something for the first time in my life. I didn't want to deal with the electric starter tonight, so I used lighter fluid. I remembered my Dad's advice on how to get charcoal to fucking work (trying to work a grill for the first time ever...in the dark...after driving literally sunrise to sunset to Bonnaroo last year...was a nightmare.) I rolled up a piece of newspaper and stuck it under the coals and lit it with a tiny match. I was kind of afraid of a sudden, large flame that would melt half of my body off, so I went with the "use newspaper to make a fire trail to the accelerant-soaked coals" method. It was a pretty big fire there for a few minutes, but this shot is when it finally settled down a bit.
Anyway, I grilled some steaks for dinner...followed by an entire pack of hot dogs for whenever. Since the one time we tried to grill ended in extreme frustration, and we live in an apartment complex, we don't grill...ever. Well, we use a George Foreman grill, but, let's face it...that's not grilling.
This is a major accomplishment in my life. I'm pretty damn proud. I can't wait to tell my Dad (grillmaster supreme).
This day was pretty much full of win. I had a good morning, got some hints at what will be on the Botany test on Monday, had a great time at the grocery store (!) (free pumpkin pie bite, boyfriend helped an old lady, under-budget grocery bill, etc.), I successfully grilled food, and I won a signed movie poster on Facebook! I NEVER WIN ANYTHING! I have seriously entered to win soooooooo many things in my life, and I've never won (apart from science fairs/music submissions/softball awards/etc....no actual "contests") Nick Frost's autograph will be proudly hanging in my living room soon!!!
Waiiiit...I remember winning a meet n greet with The Bravery in high school. It was at an MTV taping of their performance. I kind of feel like I cheated, though. I crumbled up my slip of paper before putting it into the box so it'd be fluffier and thus more likely to be picked up. I also won to be their profile picture on myspace for a day. Hmm. I'm not even a big fan of them.
