This red rhodo almost takes up my whole yard but can you blame me for loving it? I don't do a thing to it, beyond openly admiring it, and it never disappoints.
In the foreground is my potting table. That's where the magic happens. Well, actually, the magic happens AFTER the bedding plants are released from their small containers to grow and bloom to their heart's content.
There is an iris between the red rhodo and the potting table. The plant has been a real find this spring. It's a Gold-Variegated Sweet Iris or Zebra Iris (Aureo Variegata) and has an intriguing grape soda (or grape Kool-Aid) fragrance, noticeable from several feet away.

I was pretty far away and this mating dance was on top of an electric tower, but you can still see the beauty of their mating ritual. I'm sharing for my bird loving friends; I know it won't appeal to everyone. You need to view full screen but keep in mind, one of the OSPREY is upside down during some of their dance. In the end, they flew off to another electric tower on the other side of the lake. I shared one in the previous post of them interacting over the lake. Nikon D850 with Nikon 500MM Prime Lens. Awesome to watch. It was more awesome before cropping, but with a collage it was impossible to leave them full size.

I was watching the sunset under a red cosmic dust cloud when I took this photo. I was sitting in silence enjoying this unique view in the sky. It was a moment when I felt very, very lucky. I had not yet given a name to this nebula I had just discovered. Instead of naming this nebula, I decided to savor the moment. A nebula or nebula is a nebula structure in space made up of cosmic dust, hydrogen, helium, and other ionized gases spread over vast areas. They were the remains of a dying star. Even billions of years old stars can have an end. When I think about it, a shudder takes over my body. While the concept of the end sometimes causes peace and excitement in me, the concept of the end sometimes causes fear in me. A concept that can put you in volatile moods is the ending. Maybe I should stop thinking about the end. But I still can't stop myself from thinking about my end. There is a result that I have experienced with nebulas and which surprised me quite a bit. I always felt a tremendous sense of peace in the face of all the cosmic dust landscapes I encountered. I was able to sleep better at night. And when I woke up, I felt that my whole body was completely relaxed. The dreams I had when I slept under the cosmic dust were also different. At night, I had dreams that made me happy and did not tire my mind. I discovered that cosmic dust causes positive results in the human body and soul. However, I have never measured it scientifically. It was just an observational discovery. Even thinking about those moments gives me peace right now. Again, I can't wait to encounter a cosmic dust landscape, the nebula.

What a night!! What a collaboration!
Mike (TxPilot) and I first talked about light painting at the Stonehenge II site about a year ago, but we found out that it had been dismantled and was going to be destroyed. Then it found a new home in Ingram, TX about 7 miles away. Mike contacted the people in charge of the move and we found out that the relocation had just been completed 3 weeks ago, so we scrambled together a collab of 8 people and headed out there.
This is me doing a spin on the Altar.

But i really think that to be able to see the inner beauty of this ceremony, some key points should be explained. Here is some information that i've collected about Sema:
Sema means "acceptance by tradition" in Turkish, etymologically the root word comes from Persian. It is part of the inspiration of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi (1207- 1273; a poet, Islamic jurist, theologian and mystic) as well as of Turkish custom, history, beliefs and culture.
Sema is a symbolic ritual through which dervishes (also called semazens) aim to reach the "perfect"(kemal). The aim is to abandon one's nafs, egos or personal desires, by listening to God and the music (hence the term sema), thinking about God.
In the symbolism of the Sema ritual, the semazen's camel's hair hat (sikke) represents the tombstone of the ego; his wide, white skirt represents the ego's shroud. By removing his black cloak, he is spiritually reborn to the truth.
At the beginning of the Sema, by holding his arms crosswise the semazen appears to represent the number one, thus testifying to God's unity. While whirling, his arms are open: his right arm is directed to the sky, ready to receive God's beneficence; his left hand, upon which his eyes are fastened, is turned toward the earth. The semazen conveys God's spiritual gift to those who are witnessing the Sema. Revolving from right to left around the heart, the semazen embraces all humanity with love. The human being has been created with love in order to love.
From a scientific viewpoint we witness that contemporary science definitely confirms that the fundamental condition of our existence is to revolve. There is no object, no being which does not revolve and the shared similarity among beings is the revolution of the electrons, protons and neutrons in the atoms, which constitute the structure of each of them. As a consequence of this similarity, everything revolves and man carries on his live, his very existence by means of the revolution in the atoms, structural stones of his body, by the revolution of his blood, by his coming from the earth and return to it, by his revolving with earth itself.
The ceremony in this video performed by Mustafa Erdogan's Anadolu Ateşi (Fire of Anatolia), as a part of a dance show which has the concept of meeting of the civilizations from east and west in Anatolia, Turkey.
