Risk It All
By Yuna
Let me tell you what
I’ve been thinking about
Love is on my mind
Yea I’m freakin’ out
When I’m lying down
Feels like somethings wrong
Coz I got someone
Waiting for me now
In my mind,
we’re holding hands
Do you see it baby?
In my mind
We don’t got to pretend
Can you feel it babe?
I would risk it all
Just to feel your touch
I just want it all
If it aint too much
If the sky should fall
We can say we tried
Boy its natural
Let our worlds collide
Someone told me once
When you find your love
Hang on to it tight
Never let it go
Not gonna wait to find the courage
I’m gon’ go ahead and say it
Before it’s too late
Just listen to me baby
In my mind,
we’re holding hands
Do you see it baby?
In my mind
We don’t got to pretend
Can you feel it babe?
I would risk it all
Just to feel your touch
I just want it all
If it aint too much
If the sky should fall
We can say we tried
Boy its natural
Let our worlds collide
I would leave it all
To be with you
You should leave it all
To be with me too

I loved this in B/W but it seemed such a shame to take the color away. Steve came up with the brilliant idea of doing half and half! : )

Knowing that I'm allergic to these fascinating creatures, my adrenaline went all the way up by getting this close to them. I could not miss this chance, could I?
The signs alternating messages, "EXTREME BLOWOVER RISK" and "WIND GUSTS 60+ MPH" seemed about right. My GVW was just under 80,000 lbs and I was getting pushed about pretty good. The temperatures had been warm, in the 50's, so the roads were dry, even so many drivers were finding places to park for the evening. I started my day at 3 AM, so even though I'd driven less than 200 miles, the early delivery and then a pick-up at Coors in Golden Colorado had pretty much done in my productivity for the day. Took this shot from the parking lot of the Summit Rest Area about 18 miles East of Laramie, Wyoming. It's the highest elevation on I-80 at over 8,000 feet.
You're your own lifeguard here. Swim at your own risk and beware of Rip Currents. Tidal Flats. Southern Outer Banks.
The winter weather is absolutely brutal as Metra 143 heads outbound with a Union Pacific Northwest Line train, passing under the searchlights at Clybourn Junction, Chicago. Windchills were well below -20 degrees F, and raw, ripping wind was driving powdery snow into every crevice. Risking frostbite and hypothermia like an idiot, I stood outside on the platform for over an hour here to document the (Covid-reduced) "rush" in some of the most intense winter conditions Chicago had seen in a few years.

Risk and Reward - A New Year's photography resolution for me was to capture wildlife in the elements more. Photographing in the rain can certainly be risky (requires great care with equipment), but also rewards one with some of the best behavioral and artistic image opportunities.
I spent several hours photographing this particular male hummingbird who I've come to know over the years. I took almost 1,500 images, and of all those, this was the only one where the lighting, pose, colors, sharpness, and raindrops all came together to convey the rainforest mood I sought to capture.
I look forward to capturing more unique images in the rain this year!
Species: Anna's Hummingbird (Calypte anna)
Location: Santa Clara County, CA, USA
Equipment: Canon EOS R7 + EF 100-400mm IS II
Settings: 1/400s, ISO: 1600, f/5.6 @640mm, Handheld, Electronic Shutter
I tossed caution to the wind and boldly approached the skeletons of this T-Rex, prehistoric dog and dino hatching from an egg, along with a terrifying gargoyle. This is serious permanent stuff, not a Halloween display.
My strong recommendation to other photogs in a similar dangerous situation: Don't try this at home, folks!
Wetzlar is a town in Germany located in the state of Hesse. It is known for being one of Goethe's places of residence as well as the historic headquarters of Leica.
The houses in Wetzlar are often beautifully decorated half-timbered houses. Five centuries old have been carefully restored. In the past they presented a great risk in the event of fire, and it was not uncommon in the 18th century for entire streets to disappear in the flames of giant braziers.

Lonely Wolf Seeks Adventurous Red Riding Hood
Tired of prowling through the woods alone. Seeking one daring, cloak-wearing risk-taker who doesn’t mind a little fur and fangs.
About me:
- Strong, independent, and howls at the moon for fun.
Excellent sense of direction (unless there’s a woodcutter involved).
- Has all my own teeth
- Enjoys long walks through the forest, sneaking into grandmas’ houses, and howling meaningful ballads about life’s mysteries (and maybe an occasional hunger pang).
About you:
- Loves the color red, because I can’t resist a bold fashion statement.
- Enjoys surprise visits to Granny's house—bonus points if you can bake.
- Must appreciate a wolf with layers: I’ve got a wild side but also a soft side (especially around cuddly grandmas).
Let's skip the huffing and puffing, and build something real.
You bring the basket, I’ll bring the charm.
Swipe right on this Big Bad Wolf—promise I’m mostly harmless. ;)

Not many chase days in the month of June 2017, as this day turned out way better than expected. You never know what you might encounter on a decent moderate risk day which was mostly on the eastern side of Nebraska and Western Iowa.
These first cells were moving from the north to the south as I encountered them just to the east of Schuyler Nebraska. I didn't have to to travel to western Iowa as all the action stayed in eastern Nebraska that day. It was mostly an HP mess for most of the ride till then.
Some decent structure out in front of this cell, so you know I what I was doing!

First Moderate Risk in South
Central Nebraska & North Central Kansas.
A short jaunt down the severe weather risk area that day from Kearney Nebraska. Arrived in Alma Nebraska a tad behind schedule. The storm was already tornado warned and produced a tornado southwest of Alma. Storm was raging and I wasn't in a good place. Had to core punch this storm & headed east via Hwy 136. That's were this collection of images starts.
I was east bound on Hwy 136 that skirts the border of Nebraska / Kansas. This would take me deep into the Moderate Risk for that severe weather day. Instability was visible everywhere out in front of this storm. A Mammatus Cluster with a wall cloud was right in front of me while another supercell was producing tornadoes behind my current location.
Wicked Beautiful Supercell Structure as I got up close & personal. Especially by Franklin Nebraska where I encountered my first Tornado of 2022.
East then north out of Red Cloud Nebraska. The storms were still producing severe weather but was exiting fast out of my range. End this day with a spectacular view of the backside of the storm. A huge mammatus cloud cluster to enjoy as I was heading home!

Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Northcote, Victoria
Swimming pools in Victoria and elsewhere in Australia have been closed during the pandemic. There is apparently some evidence that, because of the treatment of the water in public pools, there is a very low risk of infection from swimming itself however they are places of gathering and no doubt social distancing would be difficult especially on a warm day.
