Here's a "New Day Red Shades" gazania, cut from my soggy gardens here in Rainy Maine. Gazanias are also known as "Treasure Flowers", and "African Daisies" (Osteospermum are also called African Daisies, too)
In my experience, a gazania's petals close up pretty fast after the flower is cut. But if I put the cut flower in some water, in a sunny window, the next day it might open wide again, and that's what happened with the one pictured here.
In my make-shift studio, I photographed this flower against a black-velvet background under LED lights, including an overhead trio of Red, Green and Blue LEDs. Because the RGB source lights illuminate the flower's curved surfaces from slightly different directions, the relative strength of R, G and B reflected can vary from point to point on the petals; the blue LED in particular is strongly reflected in some areas. Canon Rebel T7i, f20 (for max depth of field) 8 sec, ISO 100, white balance on Sun. Minor brightness/contrast/balance adjustments in software processing.

I posted a picture of this flower some time ago; this is from a higher angle. Now, during the photoshoot of the "front" side of my osteospermum "Blue Eyed Beauty" the flower began to close. This view shows how the underside of the flower looked under my RGB light scheme!
With minimal editing, this is as the camera saw it. I also uploaded a photo of this same flower from the usual viewpoint.
