This weeks Macro Mondays theme is “Multicolor”.
To create this image, I used a small dropper to set the drops of water in a row, then lit the CD with one main light in the center and two softer lights on the top and bottom of the frame.

The reason for The Bard in RGB (the basic additive colour model for photography in which red, green, and blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colours) will become clear with my first photograph tomorrow. In the meantime, instead of those stereoscopic view slides, imagine Shakespeare in a crazy 3D slide array.
Taken with a Penti I half-frame camera.
For this series I loaded a cassette with colour negative film, and put it through the camera three times, the first time with a red filter, then a green filter, and finally a blue filter.
The film is extremely expired TruPrint brand, developed in the Fuji Hunt C41 kit. I uploaded these a few weeks ago, but subsequently realised that the bleach part of my blix was exhausted, so I had inadverently used the bleach bypass process. This scan is after re-bleaching the negatives.

This is my first RAW shot, taken with a camera that by default can't save RAW files, thanks to CHDK firmware enhancement.
Now I can do all (and much more) that a Canon Powershot G9 can do, saving about 100 - 150 €.
I took three of my water drop images and loaded each as a leyer. Set image mode to Monochrome and then composed them as Red, Green and Blue layers. This is the resulting image!
This is the Setup for this photo.
It’s been such a busy week that I haven’t had a chance to look at the shots I took with a few mates in a field outside of Picton last weekend.
This one is a bit different with the red foreground contrasting against that beautiful blue sky but I thought I’d have some fun.
View large and, as always, thanks for looking!
