OTIS: "Does anyone know what kind of plants these are with such huge leaves? It's not rhubarb, I already tried it."
ODESSA: "I don't know, but they're like they were made for us to rest in anyway!"
PAT: "They're also great for playing hide-and-seek, and you can take shelter from the rain under them!"
This beautiful male was so relaxed that he would pose for another shot. Of course he was attentive but he let me do my thing while he was showing his best side. The velvet on his antlers is started to faint, as you can see on his right antler. Fall is on it’s way… It was a great day :-)
There has to be better places to bunk down than under a busy overpass bridge but John Dickson decided it's the place to be for the 2022 Brisbane Street Arts Festival. This festival held in May has added lots of new and wonderful murals all over Brisbane.
Sadly, we drove out early to find some of the newer works today, firstly on the walls of the Brisbane Showgrounds only to find the street parked in and traffic controllers on, picked the wrong day to take shots of a whole pile of new murals as there was a motor show (bah, humbug) at the grounds. And everyone had motored in early!
Then went to a spot in a side street in Milton and the location is a street market. Not a hope in hell! We were not entirely defeated though.
But it does look like we picked the wrong week to give up chasing postmen!
This shot is in Albion, Brisbane.
That's it today folks, gotta go and feed the Galahs, our dear little Cherubs as my wife calls them.
Pleasingly encountered on Crooked Lake/ Anoka County..central Minnesota.

Riddled with bullet holes, tagged and rusted, this ‘37 or ‘38 Chevrolet truck rests facing east in the one of the most remote places I’ve ever been.
Before sailing I must rest,
For the waves will soon be my test.
The sea calls with its endless song,
But first, I must rest, before long.

It has been a rough morning. Strong winds played havoc with the favorite resting place for these seagulls…
Looking almost like it did back in its early days of service, Illinois Central SD70 class leader, #1000, sits at Gilman, IL with an SD70M-2 resting until their run to Champaign later in the day.
This is an example of how rapidly the landscape has changed over the past few years. The old fishing hut which used to be strewn with old nets is now a pile of wood and the winch hut to the right of the boat has perished. I used a long lens to compress the scene.
Right before sunset the shadows of the High Line's cast iron wall fall on a "peel-up" bench. These benches look like they are "peeling up" from the floor and were specially designed for the High Line, "a 1.45-mile-long elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan in New York City."
